"OK, Technically I?m a serial killer." I?m loving the back and forth between budding sociopath Luke Campbell and Sylar. A disturbed kid sidekick was a great idea.
Sylar?s mentoring is great. Love his rules to live by.
Hoping Sylar wants to meet Sampson Grey and kill him after he gets his truth. Anything less would really be a disappointment. But I have a feeling that Luke is more than his Dad?s neighbor. A united Sylar clan could be interesting.
Claire standing up to Daddy
Letting Tracy loose to demonstrate how dangerous the Fugitives are. Part of me is glad it was Danko and not Nathan who did it.
Noah kicked out for lying to his poor wife after Clair refuses to lie anymore.
Heroic shot of Sylar with his unconscious sidekick over his shoulder. I knew Sylar would come back for Luke. I loved that he tried to leave him. He?s starting to like the psycho kid despite himself.
Psycho Killer on the radio.
Nathan calling Danko on his murder of an innocent man by letting Tracy loose as a demo. You just know Danko will come to a bad end.
HATE:
Aquaboy? Why does he look like Peters little brother.
How the FUCK did Hiro and Ando get all the way to India from Russelville, AK? Hiro cannot teleport and Daphne is dead now (right?). They are a pair of fugitives hunted by a super funded government agency, so could hardly walk up to an ATM and withdraw money, much less buy a ticket out of the country. This is really a Brontosaurus sized plot hole.
Sylar getting all emo over his Daddy?s old red wagon was a bit much.
IF they found Aquaboy?s car so fast they had to see it on traffic cam, so why didn?t anyone see Claire? Why didn?t anyone see them run from the car?
The "powerful and dangerous" Groom backed down to Hiro and returned Ando waaaaay too easily after his public embarrassment. Wuss.
Tracy is much shrewder than proving herself a danger in front of the one person who knew her and thought her innocent.
Message from "destiny" are a bit convenient. Who do we know with precog abilities (they?d have to know things – maybe it?s Layla Miller? – BY THE WAY DID YOU READ X-FACTOR #40!!!!! IF NOT RUN, BUY AND READ!) who is alive an unaccounted for? Mama Petrelli? Anyone else? Think we have a new manipulative power behind the scenes or someone familiar?
Heroes is BACK! Last night’s February 2nd broadcast of Heroes marks the end of its holiday hiatus and beginning of a new NMC Monday Night… Chuck, Heroes and the Medium (which I also love).
SPOILERIFIC DISCUSSION – VIEW FIRST READ AFTER: I’m not sure how to feel about this turn of events. I just don’t get why Nathan is turning into a melagomaniacal nutball hunting down his own kind because they are a danger to the US. I can see him hunting down Sylar, Tracy Strauss and even Mohinder (who has seemed a bit unhinged since he took the serum), but going after Matt Parkman who he knows is a good guy and his OWN BROTHER! I don’t see what made Nathan think THIS was the path. It goes against everything that he was trying to accomplish when he tried to out the Heroes at beginning of Volume Three before future Peter shot him. I’m hoping we’ll soon get a good view of the future Nathan is building with his actions.
It wasn’t as extra action packed as most volume 3 episodes were. But there WAS a lot going on. Claire STILL has that obvious wig. No matter what else comes of Nathan’s hypocritical witch hunt, through his actions, he’ll succeed in doing what the past 3 seasons failed at. By making them fugitives, he’s forged a team by giving them not only a common enemy and goal – expose Nathan as the villain he’s become and stop the government persecution, but he’s also given them no choice but to oppose him.
The Hiro/Ando or should I say Ando/Hiro dynamic will have to evolve with a powerless Hiro. I hope he finds a path back to his abilities – or new ones. The Ando-cycle is a chick magnet. Is there a Hiro-cycle? Ando may feel useless as a solo act – but once he hooks up with Hiro and the fugitives, he’ll make them unstoppable.
Matt Parkman has a vision of the outback prophet who informs him that he’s the new prophet and suddenly Matt can draw the future – he better watch his head – thus far that power has a history of getting people fatal head wounds.
Peter Petrelli tells his brother that he can only fly, but apparently he lied! He is once again a power mimic, but as of last night’s episode, it appears to be more of an Ultra-Boy style (one power at a time) and the power switch is triggered by touch.
I’m still hoping some of the Season 2 loose ends (like the New Orleans folks? What happened to Micah and Monica? are they being hunted?) will find a place in the new storyline.
All in all an OK new beginning after a December season ender what felt like a rushed conclusion. I would have appreciated seeing more of how Papa’s plans were going to bring about that black cloud of destruction seen in the first episode of Volume Three: Villains.
I still don’t understand why Papa Petrelli stayed dead after the Haitian left the area – we’d seen both Sylar AND Claire resurrect after being killed with their powers turned off (once the thing turning their powers off stopped). Only explanation is that SYlar MUST have telekinetically lodged the bullet in the point in pap’s head that Peter was to shoot for – (but it was in back of brain – not the front).
It’s been WAAAAAY to long without a new Heroes episode (though Geoff John’s Legion of Super Heroes come to Smallville Episode was a great comic book TV, I’m still aching for my Heroes). At least NBC has given us another set of Heroes Webisodes to watch in the meantime. For you viewing pleasure…
The entire five-part epic of super-solider Rachel Mills, who survived the explosion of Pinehurst only to find a new more personal threat.
Coming February 2nd… Heroes Volume 4 – Fugitives
And here is a peek behind the veil of what’s in store for the newest episodes of Heroes: Volume 4 Fugitives.
