Cindy McCain is the perfect Vanna White.
If you liked this, try these...When I heard all the bravado about Sarah Palin bravely going on SNL I thought she might ACTUALLY participate in something rather than walk through the set and stand by as somone else mocks her. I’m not sure what exactly this was supposed to accomplish. I think she just can’t turn down a shot a network TV. She did stay until the end, but only showed up in 2 sketches and didn’t really do much in them. At the curtain call, she didn’t get as many hugs as the rest of the cast for some reason.
SNL brought the funny again last night with their 2nd of 3 Thursday night pre-election political specials. Not as funny as last week though. Really? Oh my god are you serious? remains hard to top.
If you liked this, try these...The guys and gals at SNL have brought their political A game once again. Why can’t their regular sketches be this funny!!! I would LOVE to see a weekly weekend update in primetime. But to make that possible someone must clone Tina Fey. Anyone have a petrie dish and some of her DNA?
UPDATE!!!!! It appears that Saturday night’s hysterical SNL C-Span bailout sketch has been unceremoniously deleted from the internet. Or at least someone is trying to delete it. After being uploaded over the weekend, it was removed from both NBC.com and Hulu.com on Monday. In this viral generation, its not as easy as some would like because it had already been downloaded. I have a .wmv of it in case it disappears again.
It was up on youtube Monday for a few hours… until someone had it deleted! Tuesday hulu.com grew a pair and put it back!!!!. But on Wednesday someone cut ‘em off as the sketch has been remove yet again. Then they put it back and its been there for at least a week.
It seems the side-splitting comedy sketch spoofing George Bush., Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, George Soros and Herbert and Marion Sandler is gone from NBC.com AND Hulu.com, which leads me (and a few other bloggers) to wonder where it went… and WHY?
After the FANTASTIC Sarah Palin sketches and now this, I’m starting to wish SNL would stick to political comedy. There is just no comparison between their C-Span Bailout sketch (from Saturdays Season 34 episode 4)… and their non-political fare.
I originally had an embeded version of the SNL sketch here, but NBC has removed it from the web for some reason. Which of course is sparking further debate.
The video may be gone, but thank MichelleMalkin for posting the complete transcript and screenshots.
Why was this sketch deleted? Was it political pressure (there is talk of the Soros connection being enough to make it go away)? Legal paranoia? I could imaging NBC legal having a problem with “people who should be shot” tagline under Herbert and Marion Sandler (who unlike the other interviewees are real people - they profited heavily from the current financial scandal). People have killed for less and I’m sure NBC doesn’t want to hear they gave anyone an idea of bumping off the evil old farts.
Do YOU have a theory as to why it was deleted?

If you liked this, try these...Tina Fey continues to do God’s work by lampooning Sarah Palin for her old cronies at SNL. The Palin sketches just keep getting better and this weeks Veep debate between “Sarah Palin” and “Joe Biden” is brilliant by any standards. As much as I enjoy these skits, I’ll be happier when there is no longer a need for them. Watch and enjoy!

If you liked this, try these...I missed the opening sketch on SNL’s season premiere last night. And that was unfortunate as it was apparently the ONLY thing worth laughing at. I watched the entire program and there was nothing else remotely funny. Luckily there was another episode from 2004 on E! (Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5) - that was a funny episode.
The writers didn’t know what to do with Michael Phelps. He may swim like a fish, but he’s not much of an actor/comedian. Easy answer - it would have been hysterical if they had come up with a show full of skits that required him for a variety of reasons to be in a speedo or towel. As it was they dorked him up a bit too much and tried to keep him from talking. They had a whole summer off and THIS is all they came up with? I admit the Palin/Clinton sketch was golden - but why not make the REST of the show funny too? I just kept thinking REALLY? This is it?
