Justice League of America #25
Monday, September 29th, 2008Here’s hoping the magical arc investigating Vixen’s powers is more interesting than YET ANOTHER AMAZO STORY. Glad that fiasco is over. Lets see some real story telling with the archetypes of the DCU? With the JLA up against Anansi, the original trickster god, things should get interesting. Plus I just love seeing Zatanna front and center in her fishnets, second only to the DCU’s holy trinity. Plus Firestorm too! This cover gives me a fanboy hardon.
Does that make me more or less gay? I’m unsure.

Vixen and Animal Man journey into the sacred Tantu Totem to solve the mystery of their altered powers. But Anansi, the African spider god responsible for these changes, has only begun reshaping the powers and histories of the Justice League, as eight-year-old Bruce Wayne shoots the burglar who killed his parents, Wonder Woman retires from the JLA after the tragic death of her husband, Superman, and The Green Lantern Corps quarantines Earth after one of their number destroys an American city. With the team’s history changing before Vixen’s eyes, is the JLA we now know gone forever?
NON SEQUITUR: If you haven’t read Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman about the trials and tribulations of Anansi’s offspring - check it out. His American Gods is also an excellent read. If you don’t mind books without pictures. I read everything.
