I can find articles as far back as 2005, but this video of Hal 3 (hybrid assistive limb)popped up on MySpace this morning.
I hope it’s only a matter of time until they can miniaturize the technology, add armor plating, flight capability and repulsor rays! We’ll have Iron Man for real any day now.

I think we can safely say there will be a deluge of silver screen adaptions of more comic book properties from DC, Marvel and even independent publishers in the next few years. Here’s hoping DC can use the momentum from Dark knight and map out a feasible strategy to getting us a blockbuster-level Justice League of America movie in the next 10 years. First we need a well received Superman movie, then Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman movies (with minor cameos for Martian Manhunter and Aquaman in one or two of those movies). Finally, you get the stars of those movies to do the JLA movie and you have a DC equivalent of what Marvel rolled out after Iron Man came out strong.

Jury is still out on the art style. I like my 3D to look 3D and my hand drawn animation to look hand drawn. But 3D with toonshder puts me off if its too obviously 3D.

According to Variety, the huge box office success of the new Iron man movie has prompted promotions for two of the men behind the movie.
Kevin Feige has been promoted from president of production to president and David Maisel has been contracted to continue as chairman of the film division through 2010.

Six out of Six gems on the Infinity Scale. If this movie was any better I’d have to hunt down the mysterious 7th gem, Ego to make it 7 out of 7)

Marvel has done it again. And even better this time. I’ll admit I’m not as up on the minutia of the Iron Man mythos as I am on X-Men and Avengers, but I know more than enough to say that the writers and director have gone out of their way to make the fanboys happy.
I loved the X-Men and the Fantastic Four movies, but had problems with them taking out essential parts of the story (Shiar, Hellfire Club, Phoenix as the Black Queen, a billion Asparagus people biting the dust, and Galactus as a cosmic cloud? C’Mon!
I had none of those problems with Iron Man (but if you are an Iron Man freak and saw a billion discrepancies I want to hear them all!). I was completely entranced as it unfolded before my eyes and kicked with glee more than once at especially cool geektastic moments. Gwyneth was perfect as Pepper. I give it my highest rating.
THERE IS A DENUMONT AFTER THE CREDITS!!!!!!! Do not leave until after the last credits roll!!!!! I mean it!

Comics Continuum interview with Gwyneth (Pepper Potts) Paltrow
Definitely more geek than gay, but these lovely ladies do look faaaabulous.

USA Today interview with Gwyneth (Pepper Potts) Paltrow, Liv (Betty Ross) Tyler, and Maggie (Rachel Dawes) Gyllenhaal about their roles as the love interests for Tony Stark / Iron Man, Bruce Banner / Hulk, and Bruce Wayne / Batmen.
The ladies talk about everything from being the only girl in the testosterone-fueled arena of comic book films to what superpower they would (or wouldn’t) want and the evolution of the damsel in distress.

Before you see Iron Man (out May 2), read Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle by David Michelinie and Bob Layton
I’m really excited to see this. I love the look of the armor and think Robert Downey Jr. is actually inspired casting, and Gwyneth looks great as redhead Pepper Potts!
