In honor of X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which made $85,058,003 during its opening weekend). I’ve put together a megapost of everyone’s favorite hirsute pint-sized berserker, Wolverine! Some images are of Hugh Jackman in character, while others are of him from other sources and of course I threw in some of the hottest illustrations of Wolverine that I could find – I also mixed in some NSFW fan creations.
Special thanks to reader Ryan Jones who sent me some images and gave me the idea to have YOU ALL send me some more for a follow up gallery. So if you have some sexy scans or hot original artwork of Logan you wanna share for a shout-out, let’s see what you got! And now here’s Logan….
I haven’t seen the flick yet – seeing it tonight! More on it when I do of course!

I’m interested to see who are your favorite hottie celebs that have some kind of geek link (as in hot-n-sexy actors that have played a geek crushable superhero/villain, sci-fi, adventure, action star or fantasy character from movies and on TV). Your choice may just join the ranks of the men below and get a HeroesNHunks Geek Crush gallery!
The Jared Padelecki, Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, Taylor Kitsch and of course Hugh Jackman galleries I put up seem to be popular with our demographic… So who are the most drool-worthy heroes and villains in film and TV past and present? (its hard to find photos of the future) It has been proven I DO take requests…
The official trailer to X-Men Origins: Wolverine debuted online today at 10am (it was seen first in theaters on Friday in front of The Day The Earth Stood Still). But just in case you didn’t rush out to see that on opening weekend…Here you go!
Hugh Jackman reprises the role that made him a superstar – as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, retractable claws and a primal fury. Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.
Jackman is replacing comedian, television host amd political satirist Jon Stewart who hosted in the 78th and 80th Oscars in 2006 and 2008 respectively.
“Hugh Jackman is a consummate entertainer and an internationally renowned movie star,” said Mark and Condon in a joint statement. “He also has style, elegance and a sense of occasion. Hugh is the ideal choice to host a celebration of the year¹s movies and to have fun doing it.”
CBR was quick to point out that Jackman was in The Prestige with Batman actor Christian Bale and the two may see a lot of each other on Oscar night as The Dark Knight is expected by many to win a number of Academy Awards.
After seeing just a name (Remy leBeau) on a screen in the X-Men movies. Gambit’s getting silver screen time… We’ve known for awhile who was playing the raging cajun (former A/F model, long haired Covenant legacy warlock / Friday Night Lights fullback, Taylor Kitsch), but now we’ve finally seen the "look" of Gambit. He’s hot and all that, but I hope his eyes go red and black when he powers up. That would be oh-so-sexy.
Gambit first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #266 in August 1990. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artists Jim Lee and Mike Collins, Gambit is skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, the use of a b?, and possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy. A professional thief and self described ladies man, the character has had a longtime on and off again romantic fling with Rogue.
Hopefully, the new movie will somewhat rock… I’m just putting some (very) small of trust in Marvel’s motion picture department after Iron man and The Incredible Hulk. I can ALMOST forgive them for X3… Almost but not quite.
But I digress, and Taylor Kitsch as Gambit has an appropriately pretty-boy visage and some oh-so yummy abs. So lets just focus on that, and hope the producers set aside a few bucks for post-production eye FX and that there are more movies that follow with a full team.
Each year, the editors at People magazine rolls up their sleeves and set themselves to the task of choosing who is the Sexiest Man Alive (see the official SMA Cover Gallery). Their choice for 2008 is non other than the X-Men’s hirsute living weapon – Wolverine… a.k.a. Hugh Jackman.
And they weren’t the only ones. earlier that month, Open Salon named Hugh Jackman one of its sexiest men living. A three-time host of the Tony Awards, Jackman hosted the 81st Academy Awards on February 22, 2009.
Whether he’s belting out showtunes onstage or slicing and dicing evil mutants, Jackman is a quadruple threat who can act, sing, dance and fight with claws or swords. He shows quite a range – from The Boy From Oz (a lavish musical biography of Peter Allen, a super-camp dancer and lounge singer who married Liza Minnelli and later died from complications from AIDS) to box office action superstar Wolverine.
At the age of 40, with an athletic muscular physique his wife of 12 years calls "the Body of Doom", 6ft 2in tall Hugh Jackman is now officially the sex-symbol of 2008. Move over Brad and Matt, its time for someone furrier.
Jackman has been invited to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. If he accepts, he will be inducted in September 2009.
