I was along time DC Comics reader, but hadn’t REALLY ever been an avid Green lantern reader. I always liked the powerset and found both Hal Jordan and John Stewart to be capable additions to any JLA roster, but never followed the monthly title until the 2005 Geoff Johns relaunch and subsequent Sinestro War. In his current retelling of Green Lanterns “secret origin” (which, by the way we ALL thought we knew by heart and there was no way to really tell us anything we didn’t know - boy were we wrong!) Johns has woven a fine tapestry of classic and original material that blends so well its almost impossible to tell where the old leaves off and the new begins. In stores April 30th.
