It looks like the Marvel U has it’s very own Glenn Beck/Bill O’Reilly… As if they didn’t have enough trouble with Norman Osborn at the helm, now they have to listen to THIS fictional asshat?
SIEGE BLOCKBUSTER TIE-IN!! The SIEGE of Asgard has begun! And Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers are leading the charge! Osborn’s savvy use of the media fueled his rise to power – but the very tools he’s been using may turn against him.
It’s time to expose Norman’s true face to the world and uncover the secrets behind the attack on the gods! Witness the changing of the Marvel Universe firsthand!
I can’t wait for next weeks books. I’m eagerly anticipating “The Siege” and the ramifications it will have on the Marvel U. We’ve spent the past year watching Norman Osborn build a precarious house of homicidal cards, and it ought to be collapsing on him anytime now.
Taskmaster weighs the decision to sit at the big boy table. But w hen the stake raise so does the danger and he may not have taken enough time to make his choice.
A SIEGE: THE CABAL TIE-IN! Months of story threads finally weave together as Norman Osborn offers Taskmaster a seat at the Cabal’s table…the Avengers Resistance uncovers a horrifying secret…and members of the Initiative are called up for an assault on an enemy of incalculable power!
It seems like the fugitive life does not agree with the New Avengers, between having to break out Clint Barton in the annual and Luke Cage last issue, the team should try harder to not get captured by Norman. When we last saw our intrepid New Avengers they were surrounding the bedside of recently rescued post-op heart patient Luke Cage who was unaware of a tiny device attached to his heart. Now these are the REAL Avengers so you don’t put one over on them. Norman Osborn will be sorry as this issue the New Avengers hit him close to home.
Get ready for something you never thought you’d see! Is this the end of Luke Cage? Has the Dark Reign found a casualty so horrifying that the Avengers may not be able to keep it together? Another shocker from the crack team of Bendis and Immonen.
All this PLUS the fallout of Dr. Jonas Harrow’s attempted coup of the Red Hood’s band of baddies. If you are going to lead a criminal organization, you have to make an example of the bad apples. I don’t want to give away the explosive surprise, but I will say that by the end of the issue, Normie’s looking PISSED with some serious crazy eyes!!!! I cannot wait to see him completely meltdown once Marvel’s Trinity reunited the Avengers and establishes a new status quo for the Marvel Universe.
OK, one issue after Victoria Hand is revealed as a lesbian and already she’s been stripped down to her underwear like a by a lascivious and nearly omnipotent villain like a horny nerd undressing his little sisters dolls. Thoughts?
The explosive smash hit series from Brian Bendis and Mike Deodato continues!! The Dark Avengers are pitted against a foe they cannot defeat: A man with the power over every molecule in the world! Norman can’t talk his way out of this one as the world gets turned upside down and no joke…someone dies. For reelz!!
Umm. They said someone was going to die last issue.

Well it seems that the lesson Norman Osborn took away from the Marvel U’s Civil War was that you can sell anything to the public as long as you scare them first with a sufficiently tragic instigating event. So the Green Goblin has decide to set public opinion against Asgard by setting up an unsuspecting Volstagg with the U-Foes.
Beginning with the ravaging affects of Avengers Disassembled and following the aftermaths of House of M, Civil War and Secret Invasion, culminating with the evil Reign of Norman Osborn, the Marvel Universe has been left with its greatest villains holding more power and control than ever before. On the brink of madness, Osborn, in his final bid to take total control, targets the final obstacle in his mission…Asgard.
Events are set in motion forcing our heroes to put aside the deep rifts that have grown over the past seven years. Opposing them stand a horde of evil that has begun to take down the gods of the Golden Realm! SIEGE will rock the foundations of every super hero, villain and team in the Marvel Universe. As an era ends, one word will ring above all others…”SIEGE.”
I’m sure Stormin Norman plans to sweep right on in there using his “mystery ally” and easily round up a bunch of immortals, but his plans may be derailed by the reunion of Marvel’s own Trinity – Thor, Iron Man and captain America. They’ll wipe the floor with him and his “Dark” Avengers.
I must say that the combination of Mystique’s new Jean Grey persona and blue and white Dark X-Men uniform is sheer brilliance. A beautiful homage to her original white belted tunic costume. I’m SO happy that Nate’s coming back to 616 continuity, but I hope he doesn’t end up a prisoner in Norman Osborne’s “Omega Machine.”
X-MAN, A.K.A. NATE GRAY IS BACK! Sadly, the X-Men that he first encounters are Norman Osborn’s X-Men and they don’t like the idea of an Omega-level mutant that won’t tow the company line. Do they have a chance of defeating X-Man? And if they don’t, what does that mean to Osborn’s agenda?
Now that Nate has gotten up to speed on the status quo of the Marvel u since he’s been gone, it should be a bit harder to trick him into a trap.
Clint Barton is in custody and that leaves not only Barton’s life in severe jeopardy but all the New Avengers are at serious risk. So the ladies of the Avengers ban together to do what they have to do in a double-sized blockbuster Avengers story with a startling new chapter in the life of Jessica Jones. Brought to you by Brian Michael Bendis and artist extraordinaire Mike Mayhew.
Marvel has released the first trailer for the upcoming event that returns Marvel own trilogy to the limelight. Norman Osborn, his Dark Avengers and his Thunderbolts lay siege to Asgard and Thor, Iron Man and Captain America aren’t going to stand for it. The beginning of Norman’s end starts HERE!

Although we are in for some Daken-on-Hulkling action during the finale of the YA miniseries, Wiccan doesn’t have anything to worry about. Teddy really is true blue (er green) and immune to the pheremonal charms of Wolverine’s tattooed bisexual bad boy offspring. Now if only he can do something about the slashing claws.
So can the Young Avengers and those who would be Young Avengers form one big happy group? Can either of them live under Norman Osborn’s rules? Will blood out? Will guilt win? Will Speed and Coat or won’t they? It’s the end. And lots of terrible stuff happens. And everything ends in tatters.
I can’t wait to see where this leaves the Young Avengers gang. It’s been announced that creator Allen Heinberg has a YA project coming.

I haven’t really been following what’s going on with all these multicolored Hulks that have been popping up all over the Marvel U lately, so I almost hate to admit that this looks interesting…
Norman Osborn thought he had a plan for keeping the Green Goliath from mussing his wavy coif — but he forgot about the Hulk’s most dangerous incarnation. Now the H.A.M.M.E.R. comes down as Banner and Skaar face Osborn’s deadliest femme fatales in a monumental battle of brawn and brains.
This version of Bruce Banner is reminding me of Vril Dox over in R.E.B.E.L.S. with his force field, scientific brilliance and pet brute.

Norman Osborn is one sneaky sonuvabitch. He managed to fool the Black Widow (Natasha) into thinking she was working undercover for Nick Fury when she was actually reporting to Osborn. But I don’t think Norman has a clue about whatever Daken is up to. He’s seriously underestimated Daken and it WILL bit him in the ass. I’d feel better about that if I knew what Wolverine jr. wants because it seems like everything that has happened since he took over the Wolverine title has been part of some as-yet-unrevealed master plan.

From the looks of the teaser Norman Osborn wants to use Danny rand to cross Power Man off his list of problems to “fix.”
Meet the newest Thunderbolts…Power Man and Iron Fist?! Norman Osborn, in need of a powerful duo to send on a top secret mission, makes the former Heroes for Hire a deal they can’t refuse! Luke Cage and Danny Rand have no choice but to become Osborn’s personal assassins!
What could have caused all this? Fan favorite writer Rick Remender (PUNISHER) and rising-star artist Mahmud A. Asrar (NOVA ANNUAL #1) spill all the secrets—and some blood–in this 100 proof blow-out!
I don’t know about this group of bads… their names are dumb… Lobe and Thug? and a naked French assassin who is invisible in directly sunlight names Verre (French for glass). Is that the best you can do? Really?
THE STORY: …CLASSIFIED… The effects of UTOPIA are felt here! One of the original X-Men makes his exit!
As for who leaves… I’m guessing Beast isn’t pleased with the all the secrets and lies that have been a matter of course for awhile now.
Next Issue: MAGNETO! At least it looks like it from the cover, but you never know (they never did satisfactorily explain the who the Magneto was that menaced New York while huffing MGH and killed Phoenix before Wolvie decapitated him).
Alan Davis art on an X-Men Dark Reign story? Count me in! Norman Osborn has made a list of the things he thinks are wrong with the Marvel u and next he aims to fix them. LOOK OUT X-MEN!
The fallout of UTOPIA begins here. What else could Norman Osborn possibly do to the X-Men? …CLASSIFIED… Plus, Matt Fraction’s first Marvel story featuring the X-Men!
Ares apparently has no clue that while he is off being a Dark Avenger, his son Phobos has been hanging out with Nick Fury and his Howling Secret Warrior Caterpillars. I have to admit that seems a bit odd. I figured Phobos is at least a demigod so Ares lets him do his own thing, but I guess not. From the looks of this preview… Ares is a “comes home from work every night type single dad” type. REALLY? This issue he is going to find out about his son’s extracurricular activities and when he does… there will be hell to pay.
Guest-starring Nick Fury and the Secret Warriors. Oh, YES… you heard that right. Ares versus Nick Fury! You might have heard your old man taking about back in “the day” when Stan Lee used to say ’nuff said? This would be the kind of thing he was ’nuff saiding about!
Marvel Boy always seemed like a poor fit for the Dark Avengers. He wasn’t really a criminal or psychopath like the rest. He’s just a misunderstood interdimensional alien with his own ideas of world order. He had no idea how sinister a gang the Dark Avengers actually is, but he’s learning. Hope he survives the test.
As an Avenger, Daken is supposed to be one of the good guys˜to the public, anyway. But when a tape revealing his true colors is leaked onto the internet, Daken will be forced to clean up his act…and confront the possibility that being a hero might just be more difficult than being the villain!
It looks like he was responsible for leaking the video himself and now he has manipulated the woman who help him into running to her death so it couldn’t be traced back to him. What do YOU think he is after? Power? Money? Position? Revenge? Kicks? or all of the above?
We’re getting closer and closer to seeing the whole puzzle of whats been going on in the minds of Scott Summers and Emma Frost. You just know Scott has something good planned. He’ll have to with the arsenal of super psychos that Norman Osborn has aimed at the X-Men.
The climactic conclusion to the crossover event of 2009 is here! This is it, the final battle for the Dark Avengers and the X-Men that will change the status quo for the Marvel Universe.
Emma Frost’s betrayal comes home to roost. Cyclops’ plan clicks into place, but is it too late? What can the X-Men do against the Sentry and Ares?
After this we have Dark X-Men: The Confession with more loose ends and secrets between Scott and Emma coming out, and then we’ll be ready for the Dark X-men mini that reintroduces Nate Grey to Marvel Universe 616’s continuity.

Blastaar’s alien army has seized 42, the Initiative’s prison in the Negative Zone. Someone has to take it back, and the Taskmaster has assembled a team to do just that.
But when Komodo looks around her at the squad of Z-list super-villains she’s supposed to go into battle with, she wonders if this is a recovery job…or a suicide mission! And when she encounters familiar faces who had been incarcerated within the prison, will they be friend or foe? Also, because you demanded it–the return of Butterball!
Makes sense that the heroes best off with their powers disrupted are those WITHOUT powers. Prepare to see Mockingbird kick some ass…
Oh man, it is not a good day for the New Avengers. Someone has invented a power disruptor and unleashed it in New York City. The heroes have fallen. Some are hurt bad, others near death.
Who will rise to the challenge and save the day? A very important DARK REIGN issue. Something big happens. Not going to tell you what it is but it happens on page 17, panel 4.
I’m looking forward to seeing exactly HOW the X-Men (Dark or otherwise) will deal with this situation. I’m thinking maybe Emma will take the Sentry away from Norman? With Ares on his side, the X-Men need a serious heavy hitter on theirs.
UTOPIA rages on! Norman Osborn’s victory in San Francisco is cemented when the Dark X-Men succeed where the X-Men can’t. All the while the Dark Avengers
are forced to watch from the sidelines. But how long will Bullseye and Ares sit idle?
