Her videos aren’t USUALLY this odd and funny are they? The peculiar exchange on Meunster Cheese between her and Vanderbeek was weird enough, but add a rainbow raygun shootout and unicorn cannon fodder in formalwear? Beyond strange.

Perry Moore (November 4, 1971 – February 17, 2011), the Lambda award-winning author of HERO, a coming of age tale about gay super-hero Thom Creed, was found unconscious by life partner Hunter Hill in the bathroom of the SoHo condo they shared. Emergency personnel were called to the scene but Moore was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The COMPLETELY UNSUBSTANTIATED early rumor is he fell prey to an overdose of OxyContin. Such a tragedy to see someone as promising, handsome and successful as Moore have such an end.
I’ve mentioned Moore before in conjunction with developments regarding Moore being approached by Stan Lee who wanted to be instrumental in bringing HERO to cable TV. His name has also come up some posts about the state of LGBT characters in comics. Moore got a lot of attention for an article he wrote about the treatment of LGBT characters after Marvel Comics killed off (but before they resurrected) Northstar.
In addition to writing HERO, and being openly gay in the entertainment industry, Perry Moore had many other feathers in his cap. He was the executive producer on all 3 Narnia movies (16th-highest-grossing film series in history – grossing 1.5 bil) and was instrumental in Walden Media getting the rights to create the films. Moore and Hunter Hill (executive director / associate publisher of Paper magazine) wrote and co-directed the 2008 film Lake City. The pair co-produced a Spike Jonze-directed 2010 documentary (Tell Them Anything You Want: A Portrait of Maurice Sendak) about legendary children’s book author and illustrator Maurice Sendak. Perry Moore also worked on the Rosie O’Donnel Show and was even an intern for the Clinton White House and MGM Studios in New York.
Moore was also a Christian and spoke publicly about his faith. According to family members, Moore had suffered knee and back problems before his death, which required pain medication and corrective surgery (surgery he had put off to continue working).
At the time of his death, Moore was still at work on a sequel to HERO as well as the first in a series of fantasy books called The Way of the Wolf – “about triplets who inherit superpowers and have to stop a villain from taking over the Earth.” I’m sorry I won’t get the chance to read them. Perry – your words will be missed.

I saw Ryan Weiber vs Brandon Flyte 2 over at GayComicGeek and had to dig up RvB1. This is some very impressive light saber duel choreography, and the sound FX and rotoscoped visuals are not to shabby either.
Brandon needs to learn more from his mistakes… he gets his light saber handle sliced and broken in both fights. Ryan is just as bad – in both cases he manages to disarm his enemy and then RE-ARMS him by losing 1/2 of his double ended light saber. Still fun to watch tho.
