The cute lip sync boys (Christian Beasley, Joe Lauer and Spencer Titus) are back and this time they brought friends to lip sync another Katy Perry video with the guidance and wizardry of Ryan James Yezak. This time its’ Peacock from her album Teenage Dream.
Random gay and straight boys doing parody lip sync videos are some of my favorite finds on YouTube, so here are a few viral videos in that vein from YouTuber Ryan James Yezak.
First off…
California Gays Music Video To Katy Perry California Gurls – Ryan James Yezak presents a gay music video interpretation of Katy Perry “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg. So hot we’ll melt your popsicle!
Next up… “Ke$ha Take It Off”
And finally a vaguely disturbing parody of Lady Gag’s “Telephone”
Now I have a mental image of perpetually perky boyblogger DaveyWavey wrapping a tape measure around an immense cock with a big smile on his face. Not that I mind.
I’m saying no. But adorable and always-shirtless gay internet personality DaveyWavey shares the struggle of a friend with a cock that is 9 inches long by 7 inches around. Do you feel his pain? I can’t say I do. Now I do feel for any boyfriends he may have, that’s a lot to handle regularly.
Check out DaveyWavey’s channel for more of this shirtless blogger and his unique perspective. All this comedic talk of really big dicks reminded me of this little gem…
I applaud GayComicGeek’s choice to film “something stupid” every now and then. If he ever needs a better excuse than just because how about because we sure appreciate it! Here he is lip-syncing the theme song to his She-Ra Princess of Power…
A number of you sent me this recent article in the venerable New York Times about Skintight USA, a recurring gay spandex / superhero costume fetish party at the historic Stonewall Inn in NYC. It was a really interesting piece about the gay spandex subculture and got me back to thinking about something I had been considering when I started this blog. With all the annual gay events in San Francisco (PRIDE, Folsom, Dore Alley, Castro St Fair, Bear Weekend, Halloween etc) I’m surprised I haven’t seen more Superhero-Themed parties like these out here.
I did attend something called “Superhero Sunday” at Truck a few years back, and found they also held a Halloween party called Heroes & Villains in 2009 (not sure if it will be an annual event). I worked with the people behind a weekly Friday night party held at The Lookout called ACTIVATE on their concept and advertising. It was originally supposed to have a superhero flavor, but it never became what we discussed (we had plans for costumed gogo boys etc that never got past generic body paint) and devolved into a typical nightclub vibe before it was replaced by another weekly party.
I’ve heard of similar events in SoCal… During Comiccon, Rich’s Nightclub in San Diego hosts Young Heroes and MJ’s Bar in LA has been host to the Annual Hard Heroes party (Featuring Captain Lucky and his crew) for years, so there IS an audience. If I could figure out who to approach about finding/making quality sexy super costumes for gogo boys (hopefully pornstars), I might be able to interest some San Francisco nightlife connections I have in the idea of an HnH annual event that coincides with one of the major gay tourist weekends.
Thoughts? The way I picture it, people wouldn’t HAVE to dress up but would get discounted drinks and be eligible for prizes if they did. So I’m basically just sort of testing the waters. Seeing if people like the idea and if anyone out there has a skillset that might be useful or knows of anyone who would be interested. PLEASE comment no matter whether you love, hate or are completely indifferent to the idea. I realize it would be a lot of work and may be too late to get started for 2010, but maybe 2011?
Spotted these hot pics of MTV Real World alum turned fitness guru / underwear model… Scott Herman showing off his sexy spandex Captain America outfit over at WickedGayBlog and had to share. I have to say he is definitely surpassing the average costumed fanboy geek in that spandex. He should wear it to San Diego Comicon and show the fanboys how its done.
I wonder if he’s into costumes or is just a Captain America fan. Probably a fan as he has a Cap Shield in his home. Of course seeing these pics sent me searching the net for more info and I found this video to REALLY make it interesting. It’s a good thing Scott Herman is hot. He misspelled “Nothing” on the preview frame of his video.
after the jump there’s a little bonus… his videos on how to shave your chest and his follow up requested by fans on how to shave your groin.
You gotta love OK Go. The captivating and original music videos found regularly on the official OK Go Youtube channel are always entertaining. This latest video for their song This Too Shall Pass features a classic Rube Goldberg machine. It was released March 1st.
Charlie McDonnell is a 19 year English Whovian, Video-Blogger and Musician from Bath, Somerset who is known on YouTube as charlieissocoollike. He plays in a band called Chameleon Circuit that specializes in songs about Doctor Who (they really aren’t bad! – you can listen for yourself on his webpage). Love his Captain Hammer T-Shirt but not the ukulele.
And here’s another vid of Charlie playing with himself but not in THAT way. He puts up videos on YouTube not xTube. He does a great job of combining the audio to duet with himself.
Here is a video made by one of their fans (SmilingLimpet) for the Chameleon Ciurcuit song “An Awful Lot of Running.”
Check out the comments to see a video of another Whovian vlogger who is part of Chameleon Circuit… David Tennent’s teen lookalike – LittleRadge.
The Muppets resident guinea pig… singing sensation Beaker is back with his own take on the classic ballad, Dust in the Wind. Complete with a running commentary from the usual suspects.
If you are amused by people pointing out the ridiculousness of religion, then enjoy these choice videos from the BestOfAtheism YouTube channel.
God is SMART! But people… not so much. God speaks to Abraham about his latest great idea… Human Sacrifice!
Cthulhu vs. Christianity – a catchy little ditty paying homage to Lovecraft’s mythos
Praise the Lord! – cynical parody from fictional Christian Rock Group Hill$ong
The Bible is TRUE! And remember Thou shalt not suffer a homosexual adulterous fortune-telling dwarf to live. I think that must have been on that 3rd tablet Moses dropped.
If you enjoy these, then also check out EdwardCurrent’s YouTube channel for what seems to be a Stephen Colbertesque video caricature of a “Christian” managing to mock himself both intentionally and inadvertently while supposedly mocking Atheists. I couldn’t find any INTENTIONALLY funny videos from the other camp. But feel free to share links via comments if you know any.
As usual – his review is right on the money. GayComicGeek consistently has great reviews of comics, books, shows and movies that interest me. So OF COURSE he’s put up his opinion on Smallville: Absolute Justice…
Saw this at amusing lip sync video WickedGayBlog over the holidays and managed to stifle the urge to share it at the time, but now I have happened upon it again… so you have to suffer or do something else while you watch. Sorry, but I have a weakness for cute boys who do lip sync videos.
I’m guessing he’ll have a few fans who’d like to give it to him “that way.” Of course my first instinct to dig deeper is a both blessing and a curse. The good news there is two of them. The bad news is I’m not sure if they are TRYING to be funny. But, do we care? I think all hot boys should be encouraged to as goofy as they wanna be on YouTube.
I can think of some different outfits I might have put them for “I Look Good In Leather.” Never heard this song before. Caught me after a night out. But I’m amused.
Swanderful is gay comics creator Dale Lazarov’s (Sticky, Manly and Nightlife) new blog dedicated to his favorite comic book artist… Curt Swan. Now I’m not sure I see Mr’s Swan’s work in the same way as Lazarov seems to, but I must agree that Curt Swan was the quintessential silver age Superman artist.
Check out Swanderful to see some of Lazarov’s favorite Swan works along with the writers own keen observations and amusing comments.
Below are two images he posted that cracked me up. I remember these from my early days as a comic reader… They were first published in Superman #272.

A new cover mashup music video (the music “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis with the lyrics from “Finally” by Ce Ce Peniston) about marriage equality directed by Adam Joseph and Josh Kesner. Starring Lars Stephan, Stuart Perkins and Erickatoure Aviance. The handsome grooms are very sweet together and their drag bridesmaid was a nice touch. Music is a wonderful way to share the message.
I do so love the YouTube generation. Its videos like these and the ones that follow that will end up going a long way towards making gay marriage a reality everywhere. Current and future generations are growing up with the message that its OK to be Gay. We just want to love. I have hope. Now we just have to wait and see how Perry vs. Schwarzenegger turns out.
This is GREAT! Nice to see the Muppets doing what they ought to be doing in today’s market… funny viral music videos. Enjoy their Bohemian Rhapsody! Now if they could just manage to make a new Muppet Movie.
Whatever happened to the one in the works with Jason Segal?
Check out this great guerrilla musical number organized by DJ Dan Murphy and starring one of Australia’s most famous drag queens – Joyce Maynge… The video was so cool it had Kylie Minogue all atwitter.
I’ve wanted a spontaneous yet choreographed musical number to erupt around me my whole life. I’m just never in the right place at the right time. Oh well, at least I get to watch the video.
Now I try not to post every cute cat video that pops up online, but this is fun. I’m always happy to see that there ARE people who have more time on their hands than I do.
Its was his birthday but we get the present… This funny vid from everyone’s favorite GayComicGeek shows us how to party like a gay geek and even includes a couple flashes of him in his underoos. ENJOY! And don’t forget to send him a card!
