The DCnU mystery woman’s name is… Pandora
The Source has finally revealed the name of the mysterious purple hooded woman with glowing eyes, bad skin and talons who provided narration in Flashpoint #5 as the DCnU formed. She is… Pandora. Now the question is she THE Pandora (of myth) and if so, what kind of can of worms/box of evil will she unleash upon the unsuspecting DCnU?

Or is she here to help? Either way, she’s keeping an eye on the characters of the new 52. “Pandora” appeared lurking in the shadows of at least 1 panel in the 52 #1 issues of the DCnU (despite the fact that many take place at different points in history). We may know her name now, but we still have more questions about Pandora than answers. Who is she? Where does she come from? What is the History of Heroes? Who shattered it into 3 (the DCu, DCnU and Wildstorm U)? Whose “impending arrival” is a danger to the heroes of the unified DCnU?

Let’s hope it’s not a big let down when her secret and story finally come to the fore. Or, even worse, let’s hope it’s not some massive DC event that will “change everything forever” but of course actually only change things for about 6 months…
