Those familiar with the site know I tend to save many of the better faked Photoshop nudes found all over the net until I have enough to assemble them into galleries dedicated to specific celebs under the banner of Celebrity FAUXtoshop. Lucky you, I’ve gathered the requisite amount of images for the following hotties: Chris Pine, Ryan Kwanten and Mark Salling – so place your votes NOW to see who’s next!
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has announced the nominees for their 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Of note to my audience is the category of Outstanding Comic Book. This years choices are not remotely surprising. 3 of them (including the 2010 winner – X-Factor) were in the running last year. The other 2 picks feature LGBT characters that previously garnered nominations for other titles (The pre DCnU relationship between Batwoman and Renee Montoya a.k.a. The Question was central to the 2008 nominee Final Crisis: Revelations and Kevin Keller’s introduction got Archie Comics’ Veronica on the list in 2010)
X-Factor, by Peter David, Emanuela Lupacchino, Valentine De Landro and others (Marvel Comics) – nominated due to the unique and frankly written relationship between gay couple Rictor and Shatterstar. Won last year. Chances of winning again?
Avengers: The Children’s Crusade, by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung (Marvel Comics) – nominated due to Young Avengers resident gay couple Wiccan and Hulkling and guest starring members of X-Factor including gay couple Rictor and Shatterstar. Wiccan and Hulkling are a fan favorite and have gotten other Young Avengers titles on the list before (including ATCC), but haven’t won the award yet. This is the “popular” choice and would get my vote if only to keep Hulkling and Wiccan from becoming the Susan Lucci of the category.
Batwoman, by J.H. Williams III and W. Haden Blackman (DC Comics) – nominated due to the title character, lipstick lesbian Gotham City socialite Kate Kane by day, Batwoman by night. Kate is another fan favorite, we waited forever for Batwoman #1 and the series is well-scripted and matter of fact about her romantic inclinations, so she has a strong chance.
Veronica Presents: Kevin Keller, by Dan Parent (Archie Comics) – nominated due to the title character, Kevin Keller… out and Proud Riverdale teen and Veronica’s new gay best friend. This four issue miniseries came hot on the heels of his overwhelmingly well received appearances in Veronica #202 and #205 and sold so well that Kevin Keller is a monthly ongoing in 2012. I think Kevin Keller has the advantage because he’s giving hope and empowering an entire generation of LGBT youth. Of all the nominees, Kevin Keller has made the biggest splash and has done the most to further LGBT representation in the comics medium.
Secret Six, by Gail Simone and Jim Calafiore (DC Comics) – nominated due to Scandal Savage proposing a polygamous marriage between herself, her formerly dead lover Knockout and her current girlfriend exotic dancer Liana Kerzner. Secret Six really WAS a great title. I’d root for this title to win if I thought it might get it back on the executive radar and on the DCnU lineup. But I think Secret Six is only on this list this year because Gail Simone is beloved by our community for previous good deeds and straight boys love lesbians. I’d rather have seen Stormwatch included.

I’ll admit to enjoying some of Rob Liefeld’s earlier work way back in the 90s. I enjoyed Cable and Liefeld’s first Hawk and Dove at the time, but my tastes improved and I knew better than to like Youngblood – that was really bad and heralded my loss of interest in his work. His unfortunate homophobic reaction to Peter David’s fanning the flames of the on-record bromance between Rictor and Shatterstar into a full-fledged romance aside, his recent work has been pretty abysmal.
It has been announced that as of February’s Hawk and Dove #6 Rob Liefeld replaced Sterling Gates as writer of the series. Apparently that announcement was about all it took to put the last nail in Hank and Dawn’s coffin. Hawk and Dove is cancelled as of issue #8, and with “new” character designs like the BLATANT Kraven The Hunter ripoff on the cover of #7 it’s no wonder reader confidence is low. I’d cancel it too.
What I WOULDN’T do is give Rob Liefeld 3 MORE DCnU titles to lead to the slaughterhouse. Luckily these titles aren’t any that I’d been reading, so when Rob takes over as writer & artist on Deathstroke and as writer on Grifter and Savage Sword of Hawkman with issue #9 I won’t have to drop them.
Hawk and Dove is one of 6 cancelled titles (along with Blackhawks, Men of War, Mister Terrific, O.M.A.C. and Static Shock) to be replaced with new books in the second wave of the “NEW 52.” Liefeld’s assignment to these books has inspired an almost unanimously negative reaction (on forums, article comments, facebook alike) by the always outspoken internet populace. Which leads me to believe they WANT to kill these titles due to low numbers in preparation for a 3rd Wave.
Or you may recognize them from other appearances together – as Liam and Luca at Corbin Fisher, Joshua and Jimmy at Fratmen and modelling in various states of near undress under the names Jacob and Jared Fetterolf. But whether you know them or not, if you like to see double, these twins (now with matching haircuts as well) are worth watching.
SPITTING IMAGE: TWIN TROUBLE, casts the Rosso twins as sexual spirit guides who envelop and inspire every man’s sexual desires. Appearing in every scene to lead the likes of Dylan Roberts, Trey Turner, Jonny Rock and others into deviate acts of hotness…all cumulating in an explosive 3-way with the twins and the huge uncut dick of Connor Maguire.

With last year’s Thor, Captain America, Green Lantern and X-Men First Class all big news in 2011, and Avengers, Amazing Spider Man and Dark Knight Rises poised for blockbuster status in 2012, we can expect more original indie comic book themed movies as well. The first such film of 2012 is Chronicle… a new comic book indie movie due out February 12.
“What are YOU capable of?” is the question asked by Chronicle promos. Three high school buddies learn to control strange new abilities. At first they use them for their own amusement, but when their powers grow and the boys move past pranks, things take a darker turn…
Since the semi-recent advent of the Comic Book Movie as the en vogue action genre of the moment a number of indie Super Hero films have surfaced, but most (4 out of 6) featured an ordinary yet mentally unstable person WITHOUT super-powers who dons a costume to fight injustice. Griff the Invisible (2012 – starring Ryan Kwanten), Super (2010 – starring Rainn Wilson), Defendor (2009 – Starring Woody Harrelson), Paper Man (2009 – with Ryan Reynolds), Special (2006 – starring Michael Rappaport) and Sidekick (2005). With real power effects, Chronicle is working on a different level than those films, but like them it offers viewers a gritty real world view of events traditionally only seen on the 4 color page. I’m definitely adding Chronicle to my short list of eagerly anticipated movies for 2012. Although the pretty cast (Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell and Friday Night Lights’ Michael B. Jordan) looks a little Twilighty, the dark story and Paranormal Activityesque found footage style in which the film is shot have piqued my interest. Chronicle looks like it could be an original take on how possessing a power like Omega-leveltelekinesis might change an ordinary human in the “real world.”

The Source has finally revealed the name of the mysterious purple hooded woman with glowing eyes, bad skin and talons who provided narration in Flashpoint #5 as the DCnU formed. She is… Pandora. Now the question is she THE Pandora (of myth) and if so, what kind of can of worms/box of evil will she unleash upon the unsuspecting DCnU?
Or is she here to help? Either way, she’s keeping an eye on the characters of the new 52. “Pandora” appeared lurking in the shadows of at least 1 panel in the 52 #1 issues of the DCnU (despite the fact that many take place at different points in history). Detailed source info on the sample cameo appearances I’ve assembled in the grid above can be found here and here.
We may know her name now, but we still have more questions about Pandora than answers. Who is she? Where does she come from? What is the History of Heroes? Who shattered it into 3 (the DCu, DCnU and Wildstorm U)? Whose “impending arrival” is a danger to the heroes of the unified DCnU?

5 ft 8 on again off again on again pornstar Dean Phoenix was born Curtis Dean Hutchinson on April 25th, 1974 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. He was discovered by Director Mike Donner while bartending at a gay bar in San Diego. When he finally got around to calling a year later he was quickly cast in his first man on man scene… 1st Time Tryers #9, which was released by All Worlds Video in 1998.
Not one to be tied down too long to one studio, Dean Phoenix has made movies for just about every major label in the gay adult industry. He was featured in over 20 films between his 1998 debut and his 1st exit from the industry in 2001.
In 2004, Buckshot Productions offered Dean Phoenix an unprecedented $20,000 to end his self-imposed premature retirement and star alongside Marcus Iron in their 2 part western epic BuckleRoos and BuckleRoos 2. The role (a personal favorite of the actor) culminated in a romantic finale in which Dean Phoenix bottomed for co-star Marcus Iron – his first time doing so on screen. That performance garnered him the "Best Actor" and "Best Sex Scene" awards at the 2005 GayVNs. This return to the fold was brief but thankfully not his only comeback.
In the meantime, Dean Phoenix kept himself busy dealing with his own recovering substance abuse issues (with the help of his friends’ intervention and 12 steps), studying to earn his CACD (Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs of Addiction Counselor), plus working 2 bartending gigs and a job as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor, its no wonder he didn’t have that much time for shoots for a few years. But just when you start t think he’s really retired he pops up in something new.
In 2007 Dean Phoenix again rose from the ashes. He appeared opposite Jesse Santana in On Fire! for JetSetMen and with Danny Roddick in Brotherhood as well as a number of other hot titles from Colt/Buckshot from 2007-2008, but then disappeared again… until 2009 when Dean Phoenix was inducted into the GayVN Hall of Fame.
Also in 2009 JetSet featured Dean Phoenix in Vol. 3, Vol. 4 and Vol. 5 of their Straight Edge series. In one scene he bottoms for the 2nd time onscreen (for Hayden Stephens). When asked his thoughts on the whole "Gay for Pay" phenomenon, Dean Phoenix says on some level they’ve gotta like it and will probably miss it in ten years when they move on the straight married life.
In 2010 Dean Phoenix was seen at Cocksure Men, but as 2011 draws to a close, he appears to have taken another extended vacation from the porn biz. Which is why he is in this category. I have a feeling he’ll grace your screens again before long but won’t stay long if he does. Until then, enjoy the following extensive filmography – as always click the cover to buy or watch the movie/scene.
