Kevin Keller’s choice of garb and groom certainly make his the very first gay military interracial wedding in the history of comics (Apollo and Midnighter beat them to comics first gay wedding in 2002′s The Authority, Vol. 1 #29). I would think the conservative bulldogs would have pounced on this like Dan Quayle jumped on the fictional Murphy Brown by now. I haven’t heard an uproar yet, but I’ll keep an ear to the ground.

I never read an Archie comic in my life before Kevin Keller came along. I’ve been really loving his comic. It’s cheesy and silly, but it’s a great break after the dark and dreary world of mainstream comics. This along with Tiny Titans is one of my favorite kids comics!
