Paul Wesley – CELEBRITY BEEFCAKE
After my post on the Bad Boy bloodsucking brother (Damon Salvatore played by Ian Somerholder), I’ve decided to do a few more on the boys of Vampire Diaries… next? on to Stefan a.k.a. Paul Wesley! And I’d watch for Steven R. McQueen, Michael Trevino, Zach Roering Matt Davis and Joseph Morgan in the not-so-distant-future.
5 ft 10 actor Paul Wesley was born Paul Thomas Wasilewski on July 23, 1982 in New Brunswick, NJ. Raised in Marlboro, NJ with his three sisters, Paul developed his first interest in acting in a third grade summer arts program.

Paul’s high school experience was regularly disrupted by his blossoming career. Like many attractive young actors, he started out by auditioning for soap operas. After being cast on an episode of Another World in 1999, Paul landed a role on Guiding Light (as Max Nickerson 1999-2001). Absences do to his shooting schedule actually got him kicked out of school. He attended three different high schools including all-boys Catholic school before graduating. His college experience at Rutgers University was cut short after only a semester when Paul dropped out to focus on his chosen profession.

Five years into his acting career, Paul made the (probably) wise decision (with his family’s permission) to change his tongue twisting last name to the simpler to pronounce surname Wesley.

Paul Wesley jumped from daytime to primetime when cast as Luke Cates in the short-lived CBS werewolf series – Wolf Lake, which lasted 5 episodes before it was killed. The final four episodes aired later on UPN. Despite it’s cancellation, Wolf Lake got Paul seen and let to later appearances on popular teen shows like Smallville (Lex Luthor’s bastard half-brother Lucas), Everwood (Amy Abbott’s friend Tommy Callahan), American Dreams (JJ Pryor’s best friend and football teammate Tommy DeFelice) and the OC (Donnie), as well as on a number of high rated dramas such as CSI:NY, Law and Order SVU, Crossing Jordan, Cold Case, 24 and Army Wives.

His starring role in the 2006 supernatural genre ABC Family Channel movie Fallen, spawned a miniseries of the same name in 2007. In both, Paul portrayed Aaron Corbett, a young man coming to terms with the recent discovery he is half-Angel. Switching from angel to demon, it was his role as Stefan, 1 half of the super sexy and oft-shirtless Salvatore brothers on CW’s smoldering series Vampire Diaries (Season One and Season Two are on DVD, show now in its 3rd season) that really catapulted him onto everyone’s radar.

Paul also speaks fluent Polish because up until the age of 16, he spent four months every year in Poland. Sorry to burst any fantasy bubbles boys, in April of 2011, Paul married long time girlfriend Torrey DeVitto in a secret ceremony in New York.
