Apollo & Midnighter will join the rebooted DCnU!
SOLICIT INFO ADDED: Today’s announcements from DC about the remaining 52 #1 issues had more than a few surprises. The biggest and coolest goes first… It appears as if I’m getting my wish. The most powerful gay couple in comics, Apollo and the Midnighter are leaving their WildStorm origins behind to become part of the newly rebooted DCU! As is an all-new StormWatch (and Grifter too). One of the side-effects of whatever cosmic cataclysm caused this reboot is apparently a merging of the WildStorm Universe and the DCU.
Stormwatch is a dangerous super human strike force whose existence is kept secret from the world. Jack Hawksmoor and the rest of the crew look to recruit two of the deadliest super humans on the planet: Midnighter and Apollo. And if they say no? Perhaps the Martian Manhunter can change their minds. Featuring a surprising new roster, STORMWATCH #1 will be written by the critically-acclaimed Paul Cornell (Superman: The Black Ring, “Dr. Who”) and illustrated by Miguel Sepulveda.
As of “52″ it was established that the “Wildstorm Universe” was one of the 52 earths that comprise the DC multiverse. Do they now ALSO have direct counterparts on “new” earth? Or has the multiverse been reduced to a single Earth again?
But are these the same Apollo and Midnighter that we’ve grown to love? Will they be a committed couple? Gay Married? Adoptive parents? I’m guessing those events will be woven into the future of the rebooted not-so-ambiguously gay duo. Hmmm who ELSE will be part of the “surprising new roster?”
Even more titles of the 52 new #1 issues still to come…

Yeah, maybe they’ll get in a panel in the last issue of Flashpoint or something.
