Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern in Official Trailer!
Here is the first look at the official trailer (as seen on E!) for the upcoming 2011 Green Lantern film starring People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2010 – Ryan Reynolds as the first human member of the Green Lantern Corps… Hal Jordan.

I’m torn. Hate to say it didn’t really knock my socks off – but it didn’t. I like the costume better than I thought I would, but still seems off without the white. I DO love the look of planet Oa. And I bet there is still a bit of post production to be done to a few of those shots. I’ll be seeing it – no question. I just hope it’s better than Iron Man 2 – that doesn’t set the bar too high.

I am stoked and excited. I started out very forgiving of comic movies because it’s just so cool to see them come to life on the screen. I’ve been more critical of the comic movies in the last few years and was nowhere near as impressed with the new Batman movies as everyone else seems to be. I’m hoping GL will return me to being thrilled with comic movies. I’ve always loved Green Lantern.
I’m not expecting much but maybe Cap and Thor will surprise me as much as Iron Man did. The idea that there’s only one woman in the Avengers saddens me greatly.
Seeing Tomar Re and Kilowog was especially cool!!!

nummy!!
I’m usually not a fan of oversaturated CG, but I like this slick suit. I’m sure there’s more work to be done on it. I’m so glad it’s not another leather replica. This is a departure from the other stuff out there. Not even the X-Men allowed for such interesting costumes or explored the fantastic the way this preview has demonstrated. I’m stoked.

I’m nervous about the I’m not fearless thing. Hal was from the outset, he was fearless and that is how the ring chose him. That is the one thing that set my teeth on edge. Otherwise, seeing Ryan with out a shirt is always a pleasure. I’ll be there no worries. Maybe even with bells on. GL is one of my childhood faves, more that Batman, Xmen and especially way more than Supes. but they seem to get all the movie attention.
