Lady Gaga – Alejandro VIDEO PREMIERE
![]() |
Here’s the latest from the Lady known as Gaga. She sure knows how to put together a theatrical spectacle, and knows her audience… As usual she hits it out of the park. Now what it is and which park we are talking about I really couldn’t tell you. |
I’d love to see some comments explaining the significance of the “Moe” cut on the dancing boys in the unflattering underwear and high heels… are they trying to be sexy stooges or sexy monks?
Gaga recently shared that the video is about the “purity of my friendships with my gay friends, and how I’ve been unable to find that with a straight man in my life. It’s a celebration and an admiration of gay love—it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together. In the video I’m pining for the love of my gay friends—but they just don’t want me to be with them.”
It MAY be her ode to gay love, but I’m also getting a definite Eva Peron / Evita vibe here. I only saw the movie once… can anyone confirm? Nice to know she loves her gay boys. We love her right back. Lady Gaga is simply brilliant. I’ve gotten hooked on her music after downloading The Fame Monster to wake the sleeping Popapathy in the morning.

I like the fishnets, then things take a strange turn. I’m glad to have Gaga out there making videos that aren’t just about bling and cristal. I’ve missed the creativity that Madonna’s vids used to have. Gaga is pop art.

I agree there is a pretty clear Evita/Argentine Fascism vibe to this video. I like it a lot though. There is always so much style linked to her substance she can never be boring.
