Ms. Marvel #48… enter Mystique
This issue is obviously meant to set up an epic fight between two so-called “arch-enemies.” It seemed weird when Ms. Marvel named Mystique as her nemesis last issue, so it no surprise that she’s showing up now even though neither of them has given each other a second thought in years. I know these are fictional stories made up by writers but must they be SO obvious about setting up an emotional confrontation for the big issue #50 series finale?
Ms. Marvel vs. Mystique! She raised Rogue, the woman who stole Carol’s powers and memories, and now the sinister shape-shifter is coming for Ms. Marvel herself! Yes, the collision readers have demanded since issue #1 is here as the march to the momentous issue #50 begins now!
Did we REALLY demand it? Any why is it a series finale? Why do comic book companies have SUCH a hard time writing a decent series starring a powerful super heroine? You would think with all the horndog straight fanboys it would be a no brainer. Carol Danvers deserved better.

Even though I read this series monthly, this issue just seemed forced. The “Who is Ms Marvel” storyline was awful……I really love Carol but her book just sucks. I would have liked to have seen more of her SHIELD and spy connections.
