This is shaping up to include all the elements of a classic cap story… intrigue, ass-kicking violence, the Red Skull and of course… a Cosmic Cube! I loved Ultimates Volumes 1 & 2 (though I found the animated adaptions to be sub-par). Volume 3 did nothing for me but this story from Mark Millar (Wanted, Kick-Ass) and artist extraordinaire Carlos Pacheco (Final Crisis, Avengers Forever) has brought the Ultimate imprint back on my buylist.

The animated adaption were just total disapointments.
Anything that had any emotional depth was cut (Hank and Jan immediately spring to mind).
I DID like the Avengers the
Next Generation, though – probably because it didn’t try to directly adapt a comic and came up with a stand alone story.

I like the last Ultimate Avengers run….unfortuately they had to kill Wanda.
I read the first 3 issues of this new Ultimate Avengers and I really hate it…first off I hate the Wasp….even if she is “Red” Wasp….don’t like the new Black Widow…..book just doesn’t click with me….BUT what I do like is Carol Danvers as an agent and wow…..since when did Clint Barton get so sexy! =)
