Kyle and Fish – Wholly Matrimony!

The gay hijinks in Llanview keep on coming! In the Llanview gay-marriage-palooza in which every gay couple in town is about to tie the knot Oliver reveals to everyone who didn’t know yet that he’s gay and Kyle says he’s proud of him for doing that. When the ceremony begins, Nick tells Kyle he loves him, and Kyle realizes he doesn’t love him back; he loves Oliver. He leaves Nick at the proverbial altar and asks Oliver for another chance. Both agree they should try a date before they get married.

It’s official they’re a couple… let the pillow talk begin.

I was more than a little surprised to see Dorian Lord among the gay couples getting married… Is she just using the lesbian to make some guy jealous? That would be so Dorian. Looks like her angle is political instead of romantic. In the real world I don’t think the protesting bigots would have stopped their yelling for the ceremony.

This sounds good. I’ve watched General Hospital for decades and I’m still hoping they’ll realize what century it is one day. They did one gay teen storyline several years ago and then completely dropped the character. He just disappeared despite the fact that he was related to key characters.
I hope they see that All My Children and OLTL are living in the real world and follow their lead.

  2. Cute ending but you’re right, no way would the crowd have stopped chanting. I really have to start watching soaps. I’m guessing at the end, when they were showing all those other people watching the ceremony at home on the news, they were the other story arcs going on in the show?

  3. I’m enjoying the storyline, but my concerns are that most soaps will put the characters in boring situations and then drop them from the show later on. As the World Turns has two young gay men and their story is good, but now they get into all types of situations which are silly, but hey it is a soap after all. I’m still enjoying seeing what they are doing for the characters on OLTL. It’s so nice to get a gay man in a position of power like a cop.
