It is so funny to think of the original V miniseries as a forgotten nostalgia item suitable for a modern updating, but I suppose it HAS been over 20 years since it first atired so it’s fair game. I was a HUGE fan of V the first time around. I was totally glued to my screen for both V and V The Final Battle. I even eagerly watched the TV first series for awhile back in the day. The pilot for the new series shows promise. |
WATCHING NOW: They call it a “reimagining” so there will be differences… but it remains to be seen just how many. Despite changes made, I’m fairly confident in saying THE VISITORS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS! Big diff so far is the teen who gets involved with the Visitors is a cute but dumb boy (seriously hops onto his motercycle and zooms into downtown traffic in the middle of a crisis – moron) instead of a cute but dumb girl. But at least he’s hot.

Well, I watched it last night and I loved it! It’s a great rework of the orginal mini series and tv series. I really enjoyed the plot and storyline. It’s gonna be good. I was a huge fan the original and Diana was my favorite character. It would be cool to see the main actors make cameos in the new series. Oh well. I enjoyed it.

I loved it. There was so much information provided in the first 43 minute episode and it all flew by with ease. So much is remade these days, but this treatment is deserving. I’m actually rewatching the original miniseries too.
