How to “disguise your girly son as a normal kid”
How To Find A Masculine Halloween Costume For Your Effeminate Son… I love the Onion. But I’m not sure. I can’t help laughing, but with them the question is never should I be offended, but just how much should I be offended. This “news” clip from the Onion News Network offers practical suggestions on how to keep your “lady boy” from prancing around dressed as a ballerina at Halloween.
The whole thing is just so wrong, but I still laughed my ass off. I couldn’t help it. And don’t forget when choosing a masculine costume to not choose one “co-opted by the gay community like fireman, cop or cowboy or you’ll just look like a stripper.”
But part of me worries about those who don’t know it’s a joke and rush out to Barnes and Noble so they can look to Anna Stevenson, author of “Actually He’s a Boy a How to Manual for Parenting an Effeminate Child” for words of wisdom. Scary! Happy Halloween!

This video was so good that I spent the next hour watching videos on the Onion. They are excellent! Why can’t Saturday Night Live be that funny?
I showed this video to a friend and he thought it was a real news segment for half the video. The actors are great.

LOL!
Gosh I hope no one actually takes the onion as anything other than the sarcasm it is.

I checked out more of their videos. The “It’s Gay to Smoke” clip aroused me! haha.

My logic is that if there are people who just obliviously accept it as fact then eventually gays will coopt that imagery too (ala how hardly anyone dressed like a sailor is going to be assumed straight) and then the homophobes will have no more options. If your quarry goes to ground leave no ground to go to yada yada yada…

This video was so good to watch. I heard about it and I laughed when I watched it again. LOL. So much fun and it looks so real. I almost thought it was the TODAY show.

It is very funny, but I wondered the same thing about some parent rushing out to the bookstore. I felt really bad for the kid at the end
