Now for those of you who don’t want to know who he is until he is revealed in Issue #5, then don’t click on the comment link or read the rest of this entry. In fact just scroll past this post entirely. An image of the Big Bad can be found on the cover of Issue #5 (first row – 5th image), but I didn’t include his name in the caption. I’ve included some character sketches of key Black Lanterns by series artist Ivan Reis as well as 2 variant covers for the first 2 issues, solicited covers for issues 3-5 and tie-ins in October and November.
I just got back from seeing an early showing of District 9. I’m not sure what I was expecting. I knew from the previews that the humans were the villain of the story, but I had NO idea. It definitely is not your usual aliens vs humans movie in that although it is a tale of honor, heroism and family values, only one human shows any of those characteristics and he isn’t even fully… oops don’t want to say too much except you’ll find yourselves rooting for the aliens to kill every last one of the evil humans!
Not only is this acompelling mivie with story that will keep you guessing, its also amazing-looking! The digital FX are great! A million Aliens run amok in District 9 and the integration of the CGI creatures and technology with the desolate dusty slum of District 9 and the humans policing it is flawlessly realistic and seamless.
I’ll discuss more after the jump so don’t go poking around until you see it (it opens Friday Aug 14th). One od thing to note about the preview was the way they treated it as if it was ultra-top-secret. They ACTUALLY confiscated all cellphones so no one could capture video. It opens tomorrow – what is the big deal?
Since the votes for the BY REQUEST poll is such a landslide in his favor (33% of the total vote) and had such a HUGE turnout, I decided to close that poll early and reward the winner – Leo Giamani! Second place is a tie between Pierre Fitch and Mark Dalton (who each garnered 14.4%) and Third place is another tie. Damien Cross and Johnny Hazzard each got 13.3% of the 90 vote total.
Leo Giamani started out as a Randy Blue exclusive in August 2008 and soon began to take the gay porn industry by storm.
Leo won Best New Web Performer of the Year at the 2009 GayVN Awards and QueerClick’s Man of the Year 2008. His huge meaty cock, hot beefy ass, completley sculpted bod and smoldering good looks have made it easy to jump from www to DVD.
This amittedly bisexual rugged horsehung musclegod is a jack of man trades. Besides working as a dancer, pornstar and model (for Rufskin), he was a fireman in NYC before trading one hose fo dozens when he moved to LA for a career in gay porn working with DVD studios such as Falcon (Asylum, Buring Desires and The Trainer), Mustang (Red Light), Falcon Str8Men and TitanMen (Playbook). With his current level of popularity, I’m sure his filmography will grow rapidly.
After
winning the Best New Web Performer of the Year award, Leo caugh some flak for his bareback performances. When quiestioned about it, he says he has no regrets as it was his bareback scenes with David Taylor and Jeremy Bilding on Jake Cruise that got him (and them) on everyone’s radar. For some ungodly reason, he had previously been rejected by both SeanCody and CorbinFisher. He bottomed on camera for the first time for MightyMen.
If you think YOU are an obsessed Leo Giamani fan you simply MUST pay a visit LeoGiamaniFAN and gain a little perspective. This blogger has managed to gather just about every damn every video and photo ever uploaded of this versatile musclestud. I already had most of the pics, but his collection filled a few gaps and led me to ALL the included video. SO visit the site for a shitload more! He had so many hot shots that I tossed in a few more photos than usual.
When asked how doing porn has changed his perception of gay men, Leo had this to say…
I’ve been bi for a while and I’m not stereotyping, but maybe I wasn’t as feminine as I am now. I mean, about enjoying it. But I can feel… y’know, I never had a negative opinion about being gay, but now I’d say I’m more open.
