MTV “fitness model” beefcake Scott Herman doing his thing for the Undergear Fall Catalog.
Now for those of you young-uns, back in the days BEFORE the internet the Undergear and sister catalog International Male (hey – I grew up in Omaha Nebraska so don’t judge) were as close as some young repressed homosexuals (myself included – those camo briefs made me feel sexy in the 80s long before ANYONE was looking at my budding package) really got to hot male equivalents to the everyday female lingerie line. So this sparks a bit of nostalgia for me.

I know, big surprise. But Still YAY!!!! As I predicted, her “death” was merely a transformation into energy. The only original aspect was they she came back as 4 energy beings that needed to be merged by a bevvy of reality-warping freakbabys. So well her known fan and namesake RJ Danvers can breath easy. As long as she survives NEXT ISSUE!
But when did Carol’s belt/sash become a pelvic adornment? Its riding a little low. Other than that she’s looking fabulous and ready to kick some impostor ass. But I doubt it will be that simple. I think Dark Reign will be continuing for some months to come and a knock down drag out fight between Carol and Karla isn’t going to solve anything.
But it should feel good providing Karla tastes Carols boot.
If you had told me during his first run that the character of Booster Gold could actually be a hero, I would not have bought it. But casting him as the greatest hero the world can never know is a stroke of genius and the stories practically write themselves. Not that the excellent creative team doesn’t deserve some mad props.
“Day of Death” part 2! Booster Gold travels back in time to prevent the Black Beetle from killing the New Teen Titans, but who will save Booster Gold from the Black Beetle — and what role will Deathstroke play?
And in the all-new Blue Beetle co-feature, Jaime must battle a flying robot army from destroying all of the people in El Paso!
If you overlooked this title because you think Booster is just a fame-hungry bozo – then he has you fooled. But don’t feel bad – the only person to see through his charade was Bruce Wayne himself.
Blake E Carreno won the Grand Prix du Public in the monthly Arkaos “Mini-courts” contest. I wish there were English subtitles…
If anyone who can understand and translate wants to clue us into what goes on in the mind of a repressed gay homophobe, I’d be eternally grateful!
Each month Arkaos, a Swiss association of visual arts holds a short film contest callled “Mini-courts”. The filmmakers are given a theme and the films must be under 1:30. This months theme was “La phobie”
Looks like we can add another 2 potential Black Lanterns to the mix. In the upcoming issue of Titans long founding member Tempest finds the corpses of his long missing wife Dolphin and son Ceridian. Convenient timing and a waste of a great character who has been around for 41 years.
Prelude to BLACKEST NIGHT: TITANS! Tempest returns! And how will his arrival affect the Titans? The last page not only answers this question, but will have fans buzzing.
As if dead Aquaman wasn’t going to be enough of a mind-fuck for poor Garth. He and Donna will have to attend a parents of zombie children support group.
Someone FINALLY found a good use for all the footage left in the wake of the multi-season trainwreck that was the TEEN TITANS anime style cartoon. Add some Avenue Q soundtrack and instant web classics! I couldn’t find a Teen Titans version of Schadenfreude (but I’ll have settle for the Spongebob version for now.
I wasn’t a fan of the TEEN TITANS series. As a huge fan of the Perez/Wolfman Teen Titans I found the overly kiddy cartoon to be a slap in the face. Especially on the heels of the uberawesome JLU cartoon which managed to be liked by children and adult fans alike. The Brave and the Bold, while still having a very stylized look to it, still manages to appeal to both demographics.
But as an avid Avenue Q fan, I approve of this usage.
Well those upset by the upheaval that Dark Reign is causing to Marvels merry mutants should be happy to see Rogue and Gambit return to the fold. With them AND Psylocke back on the team, it seems like old home week. Plus it seems Danger’s new outlook is holding thus far.
UTOPIA TIE-IN Rogue, Gambit and Danger go to join the X-Men in San Francisco, only to find it in flames. The Dark Avengers have come into town and are taking no prisoners. Wait, the whole problem is that they ARE taking prisoners.
Norman Osborn has the city of San Francisco in the palm of his hands and mutants are being forced to take sides. Will they side with Cyclops and the X-Men? Or go to Osborn and his Dark X-Men? What side will the returning mutants and one of the X-Men’s most powerful foes take? Part 1 (of 2)
UPDATE: OK the hype I quoted above is totally misleading. Neither Rogue nor Gambit (or even Danger) considered taking Osborn’s side for a millisecond. Also Rogue absorbed enough raw Olympian power from Ares to make next issue’s fight interesting. PLUS the return of Ariel from the Fallen Angels miniseries? REALLY?
