36 year old Scorpio power pupSteve Cruz is one of those porn performers who really puts that something extra into each and every performance. He always manages to make every frame simultaneously look smoking hot and like he’s gone to hs own personal well-lubed Disneyland. Raging Stallion exclusive Cruz won the 2008 GayVN Award for Best Group Scene and 2008 Grabby Award for Best Newcomer and Best Group Scene Chi Chi Larue’s all for his role in “Link 5: The Evolution” (which was filmed prior to his contact with Raging).
Cruz’s excellence was quickly rewarded. He preceded 2009 winner Ricky Sinz as Raging Stallion’s man of the year in 2008, and has directed a series of films for Falcon Studio’s slightly-less-shaved Mustang Imprint.
Since I love creative types, lovers of pop culture and cat people, Cruz gets extra kudos for being a painter/illustrator as well as bass guitar and keyboard player, a rabid South Park fan and owner of a 27 pound cat imaginatively named “Kitty.”
Gay Porn power couple, Steve Cruz and Bruno Bond first met online through Steve’s MySpace page. They corresponded about Bond entering “the Biz” for several months before Cruz eventually cast Bond in his second Mustang feature – Red Light. when Bond met cruz on set, he knew “He was the man for him.” That same weekend Cruz negotiated with Raging Stallion that a scheduled Bruno Bond solo get turned into full sex scene, co-starring Steve Cruz (his first appearance in front of the camera after almost a year break). Since they had just met in person and were booked to shoot that weekend, that scene was the couple’s first sex experience (and you can watch it in Menace). Within a month he had returned to Atlanta, closed down his business, sold all of his of stuff and moved to San Francisco.
Prior to his rise to porn stardom, Cruz cleaned up from a speed addiction (in 1999) and turned his life around. He has gone on to give back to the community by founding his HowIRoll campaign to stop the spread of HIV and STDs by:
• promoting condom use
• providing information
• opening a dialogue about prevention methods.
• to remind us all that safer and hotter sex is still happening
In addition to the many films he has appeared in, Steve Cruz has also directed a number of excellent fuck flicks. He directed AND starred in Raging Stallion’s two part Hotter Than Hell. He also directed XXX, Blue Movie, Red Light and their upcoming (still in production) release Green Door.
I’m not sure hot to feel about all the hoopla surrounding the June 25th death of Michael Jackson. I was a fan as a kid… I remember running to a friend’s house to watch the Thriller video (I didn’t have cable yet), but I’d tired of his freakish style and peculiar antics LONG before people started calling him a pedophile. Since that started I haven’t really seen or heard much of his music, but now it is everywhere again. I was out celebrating SF Pride at TRIGGER Friday night and was amazed at how much energy I witnessed whenever they played one of his songs (and that was often).
After a 10-year long morally-driven unofficial boycott of his work, Michael Jackson’s death suddenly freed everyone to enjoy his music publicly again. And they sure are. Jackson is at the top of the downloaded iTunes singles and the voice of the King of Pop echoes once again in the halls of our memory.
I DO feel bad for original Angel Farrah Faucett. After a lifetime of celebrity, she spends two years suffering through an agonizing illness, even making her attention seeking “I’m dying” TV special, only to be pushed off the front page by the sudden “mysterious” death of Wacko-Jacko. As a kid I was a bigger fan of Charlie’s Angels than I was of Michael Jackson. But I suppose, even I have to admit he leaves a bigger legacy than she does. But even still, he gets non-stop specials on every news station on cable, and all she gets is a a special on the 1/2screen scrolling TV Guide Channel. It’s not fair.
Happy Gay Pride everyone!!! Its a big weekend in San Francisco with the Dyke March today (Saturday) and the Annual San Francisco Pride Parade on Sunday. After each event, I’ll be in the Castro getting my Pride on while taking advantage of my TRIGGER Black Card.
Colton Ford is the stage name of New Yorker Glenn Soukesian, a singer/songwriter who found instant gay porn stardom as a salt-n-pepper muscle daddy at the age of 39 after years of obscurity and then switched back to become a musician and actor at 40. His recent cover of REM’s well known hit Losing My Religion has ben making the circuit and I thought that he’s make a great Legendary Stud of Yore…
He is the subject of Christopher Long’s documentary Naked Fame, following Colton and his life partner, fellow adult film star Blake Harper, as Colton moves from the film studio to the music recording studio.
As others before him, Ford has found that it is not easy to transition from gay porn stardom into a mainstream career in entertainment.
His efforts thus far have been met with mixed critical reception. To quote critic Jake Bradford of QueerOpinion: “Though Colton Ford is a half-decent singer and has a definite presence on screen, it seems that his range is limited to soap opera acting, vocoder-heavy dance music and videos that expose his flesh to within an inch of his genitals.”
Despite his protestations, Ford’s post-porn acting has heavily leaned towards the sexually explicit. His music videos frequently feature him nearly nude; in one case, the setting of the video is at a glory hole. His limited acting appearances have been in a simulated sex scene (including one with fellow singer Chris Willis), as “Butch Hunk” in the film Another Gay Sequel, and in the non-sexual role of Sheriff Trout on the sexually charged gay soap opera The Lair.
What most don’t know is that Ford has been in the music industry for 27 years, but only spend 10 months making gay porn. So although he is commonly referred to as pornstar-turned-musician, he is actually a musician-turned-pornstar-turned-musician. After High school, he landed a gig in a dinner theater nightclub where they had six singers a night perform musicals and contemporary music. After that, he proved he’s a music veteren by joining a jazz quartet that opened for Wayland Flowers and Madame and David Brenner. Alas, his attempts to make it big were fruitless as a number of potential career-making breaks fell through.
A direct quote from Colton Ford on how he got into gay porn…
Colton: “I was dating Blake Harper who was at the top of his game in the porn world. I had done some nude modeling up to that point and we were both going out to Palm Springs. He was going out to film a scene and I was going out to pose for Jeff Palmer for a calendar. Blake’s scene partner couldn’t get out to Palm Springs because it was shortly after September 11 and he could not get out here from New York, so Blake asked if I wanted to do it. At the time I was in a corporate job and I was not happy. I was bored and stagnant musically, nothing was going on so I thought what the hell. I was thirty-nine years old and it afforded me the opportunity to leave corporate America and create Colton Ford that I could draw attention to. I had tried it all the traditional ways and I didn’t get what I needed at the end of the day so I figured hey, I might as well experience the insanity and see if I could create something in the process that might do something. So I went for it.”
Aspiring to become a Club/Dance and House music singer-songwriter, as well as an actor, he has released several singles and landed a few acting roles in gay productions. His singles include: "Everything," a cover of REM’s "Losing My Religion" and a cover of Stevie Wonder’s "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours". On which he collaborated with Club/Dance singer-songwriter Pepper Mashay. The song peaked at #9 on the Hot Dance Club Play and #25 on the Hot Dance Singles Sales charts.
For a 10 month career, he managed to build up a respectable filmography.
This week in X-Factor #45 Shatterstar and Rictor FINALLY share an on-panel gay kiss. I’ve been raving about Peter David’s brilliant run on X-Factor. His take on Madrox the Multiple Man and pals is probably the most interesting X-Title right now (and that’s saying a lot as I’m enjoying Uncanny, Legacy, Astonishing and even X-Force). Not only is the future story arc moving along and telling us a story I just cannot anticipate, but also we get the long-awaited revelation of Shatterstar’s true feelings for Rictor. I hope Ric doesn’t break Shatty’s heart Well first I hope they can keep Cortex (who is in communication with the future of the Summer’s Rebellion – WHAT WHAT?). If I had to put money on it, the divided storylines will probably all come to a boil about issue #50.
If you know your original X-Force, you might remember subtle innuendo that sparked a fair amount of speculation about the nature of the close friendship between two of the male characters. At the time, Marvel supposedly said they were not gay. In a recent article, creators said that Shatterstar and Rictor WERE planned to become involved romantically, claiming the subplot wasn’t dropped “Marvel pressured to keep Shatterstar and Rictor from becoming a couple” but because “when the creative team changes, things get dropped”.
From the looks of the big reveal above, Peter David has picked up that dangling sub-plot and is really running with it. It’s about time! As far as I can count, both Shatterstar and Rictor are now ahead of Northstar, although he was the first out -and-proud superhero, he still hasn’t had a kiss onscreen (or has he – if he has – send me a pic).
This fall, Phil Jimenez fans (LIKE ME!) are in for a treat! He is following up his stint on Amazing Spiderman with a 5 issue run on Warren Ellis’ Astonishing X-Men this fall!
“The X-Men was the first mainstream super-hero comic book I ever collected,” remembers Jimenez. “Its lead characters—Storm, Wolverine, even the Beast and Emma Frost—have been near and dear to my heart since I was a kid. I love these characters, I ‘get’ them, and I find drawing them is a huge pleasure and a real luxury for which I’m incredibly grateful.”
Out and proud (since 1992) artist Phil Jimenez is by far my favorite of the next generation comic book talents.
Jimenez dedicated his work on the (1996) limited series Tempest to deceased DC editor Neal Pozner, who had been the first editor to hire Jimenez. The two subsequently had a relationship that ended when Pozner died of complications from AIDS in 1994.
He also worked as a “hand double” for Tobey Maguire in the film Spider-Man, in the scenes depicting the young Peter Parker designing his costumed identity.
And doesn’t even include all the characters revealed as Black Lanterns! Don’t forget about Terra, Earth 2’s Superman, Aquaman and the Flying Graysons (though how would Black Hand even know to raise them? Nightwing’s (now Batman) identity isn’t public, so how would anyone know to resurrect his parents to screw with him?
Having these two stories in the same news cycle really is a great example of the “one step forward and two steps back” problem that has been dogging the Marriage Equality movement.
Kathy Griffin was as vicious as ever on CNN’s Larry King – 06/16/09. Some great bits, including: “Sarah Palin is a Moron… I use that as a technical term.”
As long as she has big-time hosts like King and Letterman to give her a platform, Kathy Griffin will continue. She’s one of my favorite people too. YOUR GAYS LOVE YOU KATHY!
Who would have thought that in just about 2 years after Steve Rogers was killed by a shot to the head, Marvel is resurrecting him again? OK well maybe EVERYONE. The sick thing is we all WANT him back. We are so used to them killing and resurrecting characters that we are starting to juts assume that eventually they all come back.Including me. And now we get our wish.
Captain America: Reborn is a 5 issue miniseries from writer Ed Brubaker and epic artist Bryan Hitch (!!!) that hits store shelves on July 1. It will be followed two weeks later by “Captain America” #601, which then goes on hiatus after #601 for the run of ‘Reborn’. I do love Bryan Hitch’s artwork.
“When Ed had the idea of “Reborn” and we knew it was going to be a big deal and wanted to get the most out of it, we wanted to use one of our nuclear bombs to draw it, and that’s Bryan Hitch. So it was literally that simple. You want to bring your A-Team for your A-Story and have them bring their A-Game. That’s easy math for us.”
Captain America #600 (on sale NOW) leads into this sure-to-be-epic tale…
Where were you when Captain America died? It’s the anniversary of the day Steve Rogers was killed, a day of reflection and mourning in the Marvel U…a time to look back on the things Steve did and what he stood for… or is this issue actually the beginning of the most wicked plot twist since issue 25? Yeah, actually it’s both. Plus, contributions from Cap creators past and present, including a very special essay by Joe Simon, a classic story from Cap’s Golden Age, a full gallery of 600 Cap covers, and more anniversary shenanigans than you can shake a shield at!
OK, I was bummed to see him die. But they killed him, and he’s just a normal human – a perfect human, but he didn’t have otherwise supernatural powers that would help him return. There was a body. There was an autopsy. There was a funeral. Not that these things ever stopped a writer from waking the dead before. Why is it that the dead are never allowed to Rest In Peace in comic books? Although I did want Steve Rogers back, another part of me was kind of hoping that for once they would leave it alone.
Captain America” #600 sets the stage for “Reborn,” which will be about the search for Steve Rogers and the efforts to bring him back from beyond the grave. “The action in ‘Reborn’ is primarily carried by Bucky and Steve’s closest friends–the Black Widow, the Falcon, Sharon Carter, etc–as they strive to locate and revive Steve,” Brevoort explained. “Steve himself is a character as well, and where he’s been and what he’s been experiencing will be important to what comes next for him. We’ll also be seeing characters from throughout the Marvel Universe, including Norman Osborn and the Dark Avengers, some members of the Mighty Avengers, and Doctor Doom.
Just because we’re bringing back Steve, don’t think you know everything we’re going to do,” said Brubaker. “I wouldn’t have ‘Captain America: Reborn’ be this big of a deal and not have some tricks up my sleeve.
If Steve Rogers stood up and openly defied Tony Stark, Norman Osborn had better watch the fuck out. His days as top dog are numbered. Steve wouldn’t let America fall prey to his machinations.

If you’ve been paying attention to porn scandals on the internet at all over the past year, then you know all about the news bonanza that followed after nationally ranked Nebraska wrestlers (Paul Donahoe and Kenny Jordan) at who were exposed for exposing themselves on gay porn site Fratmen.TV as adorable muscled twinks Nash and Cal, causing quite an online stir. Now with a new ESPN featureOutside the lines (see video below) its all coming out.
You can find the preview videos and more of their pics in my original post, but I found a few shots I left out the first time around, so enjoy. One image shows Nash without his tattoo digitally removed. Fratmen.TV removed it in all but this image – which was the one that busted him.
Paul Donahoe (a.k.a. Nash) earned All-American honors twice as a Cornhusker, winning the national championship at 125 lbs. in 2007. He is now the top-ranked 125-pounder in the country with hopes to become the first wrestler to win an individual NCAA title for two different schools.
The ESPN video goes into detail about trouble both athletes had been in before being linked to the gay porn site. Both boys had run in with Nebraska police and the coach described the porn scandal as “the final straw.” Donahoe mentions that there were far worse (and more unlawful) things than posing nude that wrestlers did that didn’t get them kicked off the team, but didn’t give details. When told he would only be released to wrestle at 3 schools (if he wanted to be on a team anywhere else, he’s have to wait until next year) he threatened coaches, saying he would go on the “6:00 news turn the TV on, Ill talk about all the illegal shit that you guys do.”
He was quickly released to wrestle at the school of his choice (Edinboro University of Pennsylvania – which is Division II in all other sports, but is somehow Division I in wrestling).
For some reason, Kenny Jordan was not as lucky in his negotiating he must wait a full season at his Purdue. He says because his wasn’t quite the champion that Paul was (or maybe it was that he was “only in jail 3 times”).
ESPN uncovered a number of documented incidents involving team members that did NOT result in dismissal, including: underage drinking, assault and gambling for large amounts of money (on team buses). The coach refused to comment, so they brought back Donahoe. But when interviewed again and asked for specifics, Donahoe backpedaled, saying “I must been on drugs or something” when asked about what illegal activities he was alleging. ESPN discovered he has still been in contact with the coaches. It seems to me he’s either been bought off or made to think that saying such things is unwise and he should do his best to stay out of the spotlight.
The incident became a hot topic again at the JUB forum in May when people noticed “Nash” on the Fratmen.TV LIVE! schedule, sparking more online discussion. But the appearance never happened, which started up even MORE discussion. Fratmen’s Hostmaster John released the following statement – which is contradictory to what was said in the ESPN special – and to their stated policy of not using models real names.
Paul is indeed returning as fratmen Nash for some visits to Fratmen.TV LIVE! but we are postponing the first show and Paul is indeed being featured on the ESPN show “Outside the Lines” that was originally postponed from early May and is currently scheduled to air June 14th. He feels (and I agree) that it would be better to postpone his return Fratmen.TV LIVE! show until after the ESPN story airs to see how it all plays out.
You can tell they ARE straight (if progressive) by the stilted way Donahoe says “homo-sexual”). Here’s a bonus for you wrasslin’ fans… video of matches from both athletes time as Cornhuskers…
I’ve been working with Lord Martine Global on a 2010 calendar starring some local San Francisco Bay Area studs… The stars of the project are the 12 Bud Light Buddies picked from a pool of dozens of studly applicants over a number weeks during a series of interviews and auditions. Celebrity judges included: Andrew Christian, Sister Roma and Sasha Soprano.
Each of the 12 month’s models choose their own cause to raise awareness and promote volunteerism for – hence the name BUDDIES with BENEFITS!
Images for the calendar were shot by photographer Barry Muniz.
The Bud Light Buddies boys can be spotted strutting their stuff throughout PRIDE week at various Castro and SOMA bars, so if you want a signed copy of one the the cards above, keep your eyes open ask them for one. They will be handing them out themselves over pride at their appearances.
You might recognize Tristan Phoenix (1/2 of porn power couple with Tristan Jaxx) and TJ Hawke from their adult film work, and Patricio might be familiar from his time mixing drinks at The Mix or as a Gay.com billboard boy.

I realized it had been awhile since I have put up a gallery of new images of uber-inked and super-sexy Raging Stallion exclusive Logan McCree, so I’m making it up to you with the BEST LOGAN MCCREE GALLERY EVER! If Wolverine was a gay pornstar, he’s be Logan McCree. Yumm. This time around I ALSO found a bunch of videos via XVideo. I don’t know how long they’ll be there so enjoy the scenes before the studios reign XVideo in.
In case the multiple galleries didn’t clue you in he is really a favorite of mine. One damn fine man! I don’t usually think mohawks (or even fauxhawks) are remotely sexy – but I LOVE this first picture.
Logan McCree is living happily in Dresden with fellow pornstar (and scene partner in the first video clip above) Vinnie D’Angelo. He has a helluva commute though cuz he is still churning out titles for Raging Stallion…

I almost wish I really hated what was happening in at least ONE Avenger title so I didn’t feel compelled to followthem all, but goddammit they are all solid exciting storylines. I love the whole Lady Loki as Scarlet Witch subplot. But I DO want to know what the REAL Wanda is up to. So I hope Thor is able to kick Loki out of that body and restore Lady Sif relatively soon – poor Sif has been hanging by a thread in that old lady’s cancer ridden form for too long. This issue of Mighty Avengers (#26) we have more of Reed Richards and Hank Pym knocking heads. Next issue (#27) is the introduction of a brand new retconned master villain (cuz we all like it so much on the hero side with Sentry), and the issue after (#28) that it’s the Young Avengers vs THE SCARLET WITCH (Lady Loki)!!!
The Avengers/Fantastic Four slobberknocker continues! This one’s got it all true believers: from MR. FANTASTIC and HANK PYM’S battle of the brains to HERCULES and THE THING’S battle o’ the brawn! When it’s over, expect BIG changes for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes– including the team’s all-new headquarters and a very disturbing DARK REIGN alliance.
How DO you defend yourself against a man with TWO dildos?!?!?! Sacha Baron Cohen didn’t exactly invent this form of guerrilla comedy, but he has brought it back into the spotlight. I’m sure we’ll have some more primetime emulators soon. I won’t rush to the theatres to see it on the big screen, but I’ll probably rent it.
What about you – dreading or anticipating the release of Brüno?
It has been quite awhile since I have seen a writer really show us what an alpha level telepath is capable of. But this issue of Legacy seems to bring Professor Xavier back to the power level he once possessed. Marvel is once again reminding us that this is a man who could literally think anyone to death.
Professor X’s odyssey brings him full circle as he answers a call from the Acolytes. But what do they want? Revenge? Or a new leader? Xavier’s LEGACY journey ends here, and it’s a doozie.
