MI-13 hasn’t had a moment to catch a breath since Secret Invasion, and that MIGHT be because Pete Wisdom unleashed hordes of Magical villains in order to defeat the Skrulls and save English magic. Unfortunately, Dracula is recruiting and the baddies Pete let loose are coming back to haunt him.

The line-up for this Green Lantern led spinnoff team of the Justice League due in July from the minds of writer James Robinson and artist Mauro Cascioli is already old news. But this art is the first glimpse of the art. With a lesbian (Batwoman) and a bisexual alien (Starman – Mikaal Thomas), this is the most GLBT inclusive team the JLA has ever seen.

The villains in the background look like shades of the bad ol’ Legion of Doom. This will be worth checking out, if only for the continuing drama of Black Canary’s anguish at having Green Lantern start up his own team because the one she led was ineffectual. It wasn’t her fault – It’s not like she had advance warning that Evil Gods were planning Final Crisis. Hell we had advance warning and I still don’t know what the hell happened there.
