My money is on the New Avengers. Especially after seeing the fiasco that their inaugural mission against Morganna Le Fay went in Dark Avengers #2.
The first thought I had after seeing the line-up revealed in Dark Avengers #1 was how will the REAL Avengers react?!?! Go underground and take them down behind the scenes or storm on over to expose them for the frauds they are…

We will find out if they take the high road or the low one in this weeks special milestone issue as the New Avengers hits issue #50 and the new roster of New Avengers deal with the shocking news of the existence of the Dark Avengers the only way they can… by taking them head on. But what is waiting for them is the stuff the DARK REIGN is made of.

I mentioned when I updated the Mike Branson gallery that I’d recovered my old smut files from my mid-90’s mac. In addition to the many folders dedicated to specific pornstars, I also had a number of folders filtered by subject matter that I thought some of the more nostalgic smutjunkies might enjoy or actually be able to help me identify!
So I’m introducing a new semi-regular feature… Random Retro. Will feature my old personal smut stills collection incrementally. As always you can enlarge images by clicking on them and each image has a caption below it (lightbox format only works if whole page has downloaded before you click). LOVE: "OK, Technically I?m a serial killer." I?m loving the back and forth between budding sociopath Luke Campbell and Sylar. A disturbed kid sidekick was a great idea. Save the Lesbian Save the World Nathan?s "new boss" Luke?s truths the mysterious Rebel Sylar?s mentoring is great. Love his rules to live by. Hoping Sylar wants to meet Sampson Grey and kill him after he gets his truth. Anything less would really be a disappointment. But I have a feeling that Luke is more than his Dad?s neighbor. A united Sylar clan could be interesting. Claire standing up to Daddy Letting Tracy loose to demonstrate how dangerous the Fugitives are. Part of me is glad it was Danko and not Nathan who did it. Noah kicked out for lying to his poor wife after Clair refuses to lie anymore. Heroic shot of Sylar with his unconscious sidekick over his shoulder. I knew Sylar would come back for Luke. I loved that he tried to leave him. He?s starting to like the psycho kid despite himself. Psycho Killer on the radio. Nathan calling Danko on his murder of an innocent man by letting Tracy loose as a demo. You just know Danko will come to a bad end. |
HATE: Aquaboy? Why does he look like Peters little brother. How the FUCK did Hiro and Ando get all the way to India from Russelville, AK? Hiro cannot teleport and Daphne is dead now (right?). They are a pair of fugitives hunted by a super funded government agency, so could hardly walk up to an ATM and withdraw money, much less buy a ticket out of the country. This is really a Brontosaurus sized plot hole. Sylar getting all emo over his Daddy?s old red wagon was a bit much. the mysterious Rebel IF they found Aquaboy?s car so fast they had to see it on traffic cam, so why didn?t anyone see Claire? Why didn?t anyone see them run from the car? The "powerful and dangerous" Groom backed down to Hiro and returned Ando waaaaay too easily after his public embarrassment. Wuss. Tracy is much shrewder than proving herself a danger in front of the one person who knew her and thought her innocent. Message from "destiny" are a bit convenient. Who do we know with precog abilities (they?d have to know things – maybe it?s Layla Miller? – BY THE WAY DID YOU READ X-FACTOR #40!!!!! IF NOT RUN, BUY AND READ!) who is alive an unaccounted for? Mama Petrelli? Anyone else? Think we have a new manipulative power behind the scenes or someone familiar? How did Peter, Matt and Mohinder get to Costa Verde from the crash site in Russelville, AK. |

CBR recently posted a set of posts detailing basic background histories for some of the key players in Marvel Comics upcoming War of Kings. Setting up the battlefield like a chessboard they revealed the Kings, Queens and Bishops of the game…
Known as the “King’s Game,” chess is a centuries old game that’s been used to teach military strategy. This March, two of the most powerful rulers in the Marvel Universe, will turn the cosmos into their own personal chessboard in “War of Kings,” a six-issue miniseries by writers Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning and artist Paul Pelletier.
The Kings and Queens are Inhuman rulers Black Bolt and Medusa and the new Emperor of the Shi’ar, Vulcan and his Royal Consort Deathbird (though Vulcan is actually the long lost 3rd Summers brother from earth, he currently IS the will of the Shi’ar empire).

The Bishops are Crystal (Medusa’s sister the Inhuman elemental), Ronan the Accuser – (her Kree warrior fiancee?), Lilandra Neramani (Former Shi’ar Majestrix) and Gladiator (leader of the Shi’ar Imperial Guard).
If you are wondering why Lilandra and Gladiator are both put on the side of the Shi’ar. Think about it. Common enemies and all that. Could the Inhumans be enough to cause Lil to mend fences with Vulcan and her sister or will she use the Inhumans to weaker the emperor and retake her throne? Cosmic intrigue – Marvel Style.
