With the the chaos that the Skrull invasion left in its wake and a psychopath such as Norman Osborn a.k.a. the Green Goblin now holding the keys to the kingdom, the need for a group of rogue Avengers operating outside the rules is even more urgent. Superhero registration was bad enough with Tony Stark in charge. If Norman plans on running the superpowered assets of the United States the same way he ran the Thunderbolts, these New Avengers will have their hands full. But Who are they?
The Invasion is over! But who are the New Avengers!??! The first major roster change since the very first issue!! See here who the New Avengers are and what their place in the Dark Reign is!

I got a reply to the recent Super Swimsuit Beefcake (Part 2) posting that included links to one of the issues I was missing. I think there is still one more issue out there that I need the images from, but thats it. I’ll see if I can track down the cover so you can help me find it. I’ll admit I’ve fallen behind in my Nova reading. I stopped picking it up a few issues ago because I am already buying SO MANY titles that sometimes something has to give. I may have to pick up a trade to see what I missed.
Guest-starring the original New Warriors…and the Nova Corps?! Whether Rich Rider likes it or not, the Nova Corps has been re-founded, and planet Earth doesn’t seem ready for its futuristic policing methods! Now the Human Rocket is on a collision course with some of his oldest friends and ex-teammates… the original New Warriors! Plus: a sucker punch ending that will make you gasp “I don’t believe they did that!” It’s all in the next issue of the book that has Aint It Cool News raving “This is now Marvel’s benchmark comic.”
I look forward to seeing the REAL New Warriors together again. I just wasn’t interested in the soon-to-be-cancelled revamp.
Nostalgia and the excellent cover by Steve Uy will be enough for me to add this particular issue to my weekly stack, and if its as good as the recent buzz suggests, I’ll be back on the Nova bandwagon after that.
