I Love You Phillip Morris – a “gay prison romance”

An upcoming 2009 film based on the real life events of con artist and impostor Steven Jay Russell. While incarcerated, Russell (Jim Carrey) fell in love with his cell mate, Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor).
After Morris was released from prison, Russell escaped from prison four times in order be reunited with Morris.
McGregor has stated the film to be in his own words, “a gay prison romance story”.

This actually looks good. Could it be that there’s actually some good gay cinema out there with top talent? This almost makes up for Carry’s dreadful Grinch several years back.
