In some places, time stands still. Life is a throwback to a day when men ruled with iron will and justice was delivered at the end of a gun barrel. Under the white-hot heat of the Arizona sun, sexuality simmers, ready to explode, as cowboys and ranchers live out the age-old dream of life on the frontier. To The Last Man: The Gathering Storm, is as close to a Hollywood epic as gay porn will ever be—the vast panorama of the American West and the rugged men who live there are the backdrops for a vivid story that pits man against man in a classic struggle for survival in an uncompromising world of violence and anger.

Even with their new Super-Skrull forces, the Skrulls are reduced to fighting like cowards. Unable to cope with the X-Men’s guerrilla tactics, the damned dirty Skrulls have taken thousands of San Franciscans hostage and the X-Men have minutes to decide id they can/will be just as ruthless…

The hunt for Black Bolt concludes – launching the Inhumans into their new destiny in the Marvel Universe! It’s sister vs. sister, cousin vs. cousin, Kree vs. Skrull! The loyalty lines are redrawn within the royal family as the Inhumans’ mission reaches critical mass! Can Medusa and her tribe get it together to save their once and future King? Or has it all been for nothing? The seeds for the WAR OF KINGS are planted right here!
I was enjoying this, but not all that into the bikini catfight aspect of the story – seems gratuitous. I am interested what kind of fallout will result from this Inhuman alliance with the Kree.
Geoff Johns definitely seems to be a fan of the Legion of Superheroes…
Clark Kent’s boyhood pals have shown up in the pages of his current arcs on “Justice Society of America” and “Action Comics” as well as being the central focus of his fan favorite “Final Crisis” tie-in, “Legion of 3 Worlds” with artist George Perez.
So who better to introduce the Legion of Super-Heroes into the “Smallville” mythos than Johns?
Geoff Johns, former assistant to Richard Donner, said it has “always been a dream of mine to work with a director much the same way I watched [screenwriter] Brian Helgeland work with Richard Donner during ‘Conspiracy Theory’” and he got his wish with this project…
Whether it be Gary Frank on ‘Action Comics’ or Ivan Reis on ‘Green Lantern’ or Ethan Van Sciver on ‘The Flash,’ the idea is that I am the writer but the artists are essentially the directors. So working with a director on set like that, and seeing him bring the Legion to life. Being there to help support that vision and work on the story and the script and the dialogue and everything, is a culmination of everything I like doing.

Art continues to grow on me. The Runaways are in danger of breaking up as Nico realizes her “Scatter” spell did more than send their enemies away… and they won’t stay away long.
