SPOLIERIFIC COMMENTS: I hate to say I told you so, but I totally called the Elle/Sylar romance last week. Hello Sylar baby momma. I like them together. Now if they’ll only start working for the RIGHT SIDE! I think that they will redeem each other and then get the hell out of Pinehearst and back to Primatech

Not sure how I feel about 10 year old Hiro yet. Sure, it’s a convenient way to recapture some of the character’s adorable 1st season enthusiasm, but it’s a bit transparent. I also didn’t totally get how that happened. I will be rewatching the whole thing today as popapathy missed it :( last night and I want to watch with him.

NBC’s 2 Minute Replay of the 111708 Heroes Episode – It’s Coming

I’m warming to a depowered Peter. He’s a heroic enough character that a lack of flashy powers isn’t going to stop him. It doesn’t stop Batman, Robin or Captain America. I’d like to see him show more ingenuity though – there can’t ALWAYS be a handy exposed pipe full of flammable gas. I do hope the coming eclipse does give him a new powerset though.

Also did anyone else notice that Peter now has futurePeter’s scar?!?!? He got it when Sylar telekinetically tossed him out the window after Arthur stole his powers. One mystery solved!

And the full episode via hulu…

I hope we get more info on Sylar’s power – it seems like they are beginning to suggest that the various forms of power mimicry that we have seen (Peter Petrelli – empathy absorbtion, Sylar – creepy brain fiddling, and Arthur Petrelli – power stealing) may in fact be different aspects of the same power. Arthur seems to have a better understanding of the “hunger” that accompanies Sylar’s power than Sylar does. And how is that possible unless they have the same power?

It makes sense when you look at Matt’s dad Maury and the evolution we’ve seen of their telepathic abilities. As they grow stonger and more confident in their abilities, their skill increases as well. I bet Sylar will eventually be able to steal powers just like his dear old biodad.

  1. I cannot understand why more people are not watching this show!

That said, ten-year-old Hiro needs to grow up fast. It was cute for a couple of minutes, but it feels like a comic-relief gimick. Good writing can cover that with wit (for examples see pretty much everything Joss Whedon has ever written).

On the other hand, the writers have done a very good job making most of the villains at least somewhat sympathetic and giving many of our heroes some flaws. It makes for far more believable characters.

I totally missed the scar! Thanks for pointing that out!

And am I the only one who gets so distracted by Zac Quinto’s hotness I occasionally miss some of the dialogue? The thought of him with Vulcan ears does things to my geeky gay heart I can hardly describe……..
