IDW Publishing has provided ComicBookResources previews of their thoroughly researched comic book biographies of the two leading candidates for President of the United States, Senators Barack Obama and John McCain. “Presidential Material: Barack Obama” and “Presidential Material: John McCain” will be on sale October 8.

Barack Obama’s biography comes courtesy of writer Jeff Mariotte (”Angel: Old Friends”) and artist Tom Morgan. John McCain’s is written by comics veteran Andy Helfer — who’s also written biographies of Malcom X and Ronald Regan — with artwork by Stephen Thompson (“Star Trek: New Frontier”). Cover artwork is provided by comics superstar J. Scott Campbell.
