Two Blades are drawn this issue. Not only has Faiza pulled Excalibur from the stone, but also as of issue #5, Blade, Marvel’s apparently British daywalking Vampire hunter (don’t call him slayer) is finally joining the Ranks of MI-13. This issue forms bridge between the initial arc “The Guns of Avalon” and the next arc “Hell Comes to Birmingham” in which we’ll see the repercussions of the Pandora’s Box that Pete Wisdom opened in order to free Merlin.
CBR interviewed writer Paul Cornell about his take on Captain Britain and the changes brought by his resurrection, as well as where the title is heading.

I’m still not a huge fan of Marvel’s retroactively-added bipolar telepathic Superman, but I do think he has potential in the right hands. Just not sure if these are those. I’m more interested in his place in TODAY’s Marvel Universe than in another retconned flashback story. But that’s what we have here in miniseries form.
Travel back in time to learn exactly how Rob Reynolds became The Sentry.
