Superman was not born on Krypton, but in a small nondescript house in Cleveland Ohio. Inspired by Brad Meltzer, the Siegel and Shuster Society is working with OrdinaryPeopleChangeTheWorld to hold a Superman memorabilia auction with the benefits earmarked to restore and preserve the home where a teenaged Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster cooked up the Man of Steel in 1932. Its a nice gesture, I hope they have luck with it. I wish I could afford to bid on the Jason Palmer piece.
Here is some artwork that will be up for bid during the month of September. Auction items include artwork, rare t-shirts, a spot on the cover of the Brian Michael Bendis comic – Powers, tickets to the Colbert Report and a walk-on role on Heroes. Check the complete list of items up for auction.
Meltzer’s involvement ALMOST makes me want to take back the harsh things I said about Meltzer’s creation Dr. Impossible getting Action Figure immortalization when far more deserving characters are ignored. ALMOST.

OK, since the 80’s we’ve seen Lady Mandarin, the Lady Mastermind, Miss Sinister, a teenaged female Kraven and now we get Lady Bullseye? Who wants to see the reverse? I want to see a new White King in a Speedo and thigh-high boots. I want to see Vampifella running around in a red thong. I want the a blond Enchanter to seduce some Assgardians in a green kilt and bustier. The only exception I can think of is MistiQ from New Exiles, but I dropped that after he introduced a blond cajun Gambit that was son of the Invisible woman and T’Challa the Sub Mariner. Why is it that turning a male character into a female one is so common but you rarely see the reverse.
Looks like her costume was designed by a horny straight guy. C’mon, what self-respecting killer assassin would or even could wear a hootchie-mama outfit like that into mortal combat. It must be painted on. And she must have VERY small nipples.

The big bad (in Fray’s future) reveal last issue looked like Dark Willow (the Dark Phoenixesque turn she took when she flayed Warren for shooting Tara) to me more than Vampire Willow.
She has the black eyes and forehead veins. I don’t remember Vamp Willow having those characteristics. Thoughts?
Well you can see why the Evil League of Evil accepted an adorable wimp like Dr. Horrible with the likes of these fiendish arch-villains in the talent pool. So break out your darkest duds, hone your super powers and polish your evil magic helmet for your own application… They’ve announced the best applications will end up on a DVD release of Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.
The Allergen, Captain Shrovewreaker, Short Change, The Parasite (someone should tell him to change his name, it’s taken. He could go by Remora?), and Custodius Rex. C’mon people I think we can do better than these.
