Legacy and Origins collide in Dark Deception
Months ago, both Wolverine and Charles Xavier began a search into their pasts that will take them down the same path. Every month this summer will bring these two quests closer together until September when they collide in Dark Deception. As if the Secret Invasion wasn’t enough.
Xavier has been seeking the memories he lost after his injury at the end of Messiah Complex. His search so far has reunited him with Gambit and revealed that Mr. Sinister was involved in something, well sinister, at the Alamogordo facility. Under the name Nathan Millbury, Sinister had in fact performed some type of tests on young Charles Xavier and Carter Ryking. We also know that Sebastian Shaw’s father was involved somehow in something called the Cronos Project. Lots of clues and hints but it will take a few issues for Chuck to put it all together.
Wolverine is still seeking what he always has… the secrets to his past and revenge against those who used him. Logan’s part in the Dark Deception stems from the Son of X storyline beginning in June and continuing the story of Wolverine and Daken (the son Wolverine thought died in the womb when Winter Soldier murdered Logan’s pregnant wife in order to draw him out.
I haven’t been following Wolverine: Origins, so Marvel has again come up with a ploy to get me to buy something I wasn’t interested in.
